The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
The only combo dangerous enough is with magical bow granting hits with S and A of the user backed up by beast lore. Easy to counter, as beast spell can be blocked, and sniper character is quite soft.
Get into melee with him and he will be having trouble in surviving combat with our redirectors...
Good army against chaos heldantes;)
Small suggestion about heldantes builds. GW instead of lance on your lord. QB can give you initiative needed to go before any chaos lord, and chaos lacks ASF and if they add it, usually comboing it with GW. Chaos have troops with high T and very good armour...
Depends. They are more costly. To be effective, they must charge into combat while terror is dangerous outside of it, and have greater threat range. And is cheaper. And it can kill high T model more easilly than Archai.
Steadfast is always problem if we aiming for insta break or overruns. Having acces to cheap redirectors it is not problem for being tied for turn or two in some elite block of infantry as long as blenders killing it at good rate and redirectors controlling the rest of enemy units.
I`m testing...
If you have BK and characters inside it without lances, charging or being charged is not big difference. The point is as you wroted - neither cavalry or infantry is superior, cause both have pros and cons while they both can do generaly the same trick - carry our killers into combat...
Not that BK move is affected by barding as long as vampires will be in.
MN without dispell and bus supporting items is waste of points. He should carrying arcana/enchanted items needed for keeping this bus intact, while your vamps could be more oriented for killing things and survival.
Throw...
Heh - i can agree with both of you. Cavalry build is flexible - i agree with Pirate, but i agree with najo - it is far from being reliable. Infantry is way more forgiving to less experienced player - with lots of ways to correct some bad placement, or some heavier losses. With cavalry, if...
We talking about dealing with immune to psych/unbreakable? Still will not work. BSB and high ld - yes, but considering the points used for that - IMO no.
I hear some bell ringing....yea, i remeber;)
I think that warlock and his build is not changing anything. Biggest problem with that fear bomb concept against skaven is that it will simply not work....cause skaven main cc block will be unbreakable anyway cause of.....bell.
Problem with fearbomb...
Nice. Pendulum and pit for some nasty warmachines, debuffs for cc/shooters. Get in cc asap and shooting does not hurt your bus too much. Use direwolves to hunt warmachines. As direwolves are also redirectors, you should have more DW units - some will get through and glue/kill warmachines, some...
As general - ward, and high save. RF is always good. Different lore and also 4lev. Shadow is nice for dealing with shooty infantry armies. Death for cavalry/flying heavy ones. FL and light or beast works very well also.
Note, that you will be having all eggs in one basket - MR and ironcurse on...
Solid rooster. If you can make some points and replace that vargulf for hexies, that could be preety hard list. If not - varghulf alone can be support to control more field for you - so your bus and terror can handle most threats. Eniemies are also comped;)
Not really. DoC will be having some...
I like the idea of fear bomb, like the idea of vampires as centrepiece of VC - dont like this combo build. 1500pts for 3 units that does not do much harm in CC, and no harm at all at distance. Depending on format, you dont have too much points for needed support - strong magic, strong combat...
IMO skeletons are unnecessary here. If you have more direwolves models, you can put more of them. Cavalry army need to have more control over battlefield - 4x5 redirector/chaff is good. It is sometimes good to raise one small unit into bigger (15+) to have something that can threaten enemy chaff...
BSB is situational. If you dont need that Ld rerolls - you can skip it. If you need cause you very often do redirections, swift reforms and you often restraining from pursuit - BSB is good to have. -1 for crumbling, and +1 for CR is not bad for 25pts - can pay off in infantry army to make losses...
