The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Seriously, this is brilliant. Amazing what you were able to accomplish in a few paragraphs that I couldn't make sense of in two years worth of Warhammer Community updates! Thanks DoN for asking what I wanted to know.
Apologies for the threadomancy, but glad it worked out! I second Tarsus Bull-Heart as a future undead hero. I liked where his story was going. Very excited to see who the last hero revealed works out to be.
Well THIS thread is awesome! I was hoping someone would point out the nine vs. the 3 in the original post. With the bride mortarch just released I think we've got a worthy challenger to the Nameless for leader of the nighthaunt. Excited to see the last figure released.
After Malign Portents, and with the new Nighthaunt army being featured in the AoS 2.0 box set, I have a feeling the followers of undeath will be pouring out of the woodwork again soon!
Welcome back DoN!
I don't envy you the painting, but man, the gigantic horde of truly original and inspired conversions will be worth it! So much fun to look through your plog and notice all the little details. The blood-eagled zombie is brilliant!
What a great looking classic army you have there! I especially like the basket you added to the catapult. Might have to do something similar with mine.
If you mentioned it earlier in the thread I missed it, but I was reading through Monstrous Arcanum (great book BTW) and there's a description of a "Shard Dragon" that your ZD would work great as. The picture in the book looks more like an unholy cross between Cookie Monster and a snake but yours...
Gorgeous! I don't think the pictures do your paint job justice... the bottom pic I can make out some stippling (?) on the blue that I can't see in the upper pics as well. It's a great blue color and a great gold, but I think it needs some more detail or colors especially on the gold and/or...
Nice lookin' slambo! I've had mine since he came out but got bogged down in an effort to give him a more "HeroQuest" like clenched left hand, and he hasn't gotten paint yet. Love your color scheme.
Your painting speed is an inspiration! I think the bases rival the paintjobs and unique touches as the best parts of the battery. Looking forward to seeing how the vampires turn out.
Keep posting this stuff, what great inspiration! I wonder what portion of Warhammer players are also once/future Magic: The Gathering players. I'd bet it's pretty high. Loved Quentin What's-His-Name, now I can only think of Tarantino. Hoover?
