Looking really good. I especially like what you did with that vampiress from AoW.
Never cared much for the model but somehow you make it look really nice.
Yeah jewelers chans work well. I have used them in the past for both my mortis engine conversion and my skavenslaves.
I have no idea on the monolith.
My suggestion, even though you didn't ask for that kind of input, for a conversion with the terrorgheist and mortis engine is instead to...
Cool technique.
Not quite the look I want for my etherals but I might try to rip it off for skaven warpstone if it's applicable on something with harder edges and more flat surfaces.
Oh my yes.
It's always nice when you can agree with everyone.
Bring at least two single bases.
You get extra drops and you can use one on each flank to catch monsters or other nasty stuff.
I have also used them successfully to explode mangler squigs, lure out fanatics and hold small units of...
I would use simple green or a similar product. I use it to stip paint from plastic models safely and it usually also softens up the glue on the models so they come apart easily.
I think that if you really want to take GG then 40 with Banner of Barrows is the right amount.
That being said however I don't really think that they are worth it anymore as the unit becomes too expensive.
Yeah always start with a sufficient number of models as you can't rely on raises. I rarely use MotD but it can be useful to boost your numbers if you are out of range with other spells, like in the beginning of the game.
I agree with this. Even if you take like 50 of them any half decent unit will wipe them out in 2-3 combat rounds. Sure they are cheap but not that cheap. Compared to other units that do the same thing, like skavenslaves, zombies are laughable.
I actually like skeletons the most. They are not as expensive as ghouls and wont bleed as much CR as zombies. Put a vampire in there to kill stuff.
The problem i have with zombies is that they cost 3p and with crumble you will often loose two for every one wound. Then you suddenly loose 6p...
The problem I see with it is that even if you manage to fit them in the deployment zone they will need alot of space to reform into a conga line because the center of the unit needs to remain the same and wheeling the unit will be almost impossible if you have 20+ models.
And even if you manage...
The problem I have with this is spending alot of points on a VL that might not do much during the game other than survive.
Gearing him for defense will make it hard for him to do any real killing and let's face it 3+/4++ isn't really that good compared to some other defensive builds out there...
I didn't say 20 extra zombies. You could loose 15-20 total and most likely kill 1-2 back. Resulting in nearly as many deaths from crumble.
The difference if you go horde in number of attacks against you are 9. If you are in bus formation he can attack with 21 guys but 30 if you are horde...
