The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
I'm really suspicious of these rumours. What we're getting from reliable sources is vague. The ones that are more fleshed out seem just to be extrapolation and wishlisting/doomsaying ontop of that.
Like these rumoured "6 factions." Where did this number come from? None of the reliable...
No, of course. My point is simply that Tomb Kings are a cruel mistress. From the outside they look cool and have plenty of strengths, but most of their units have critical weaknesses that you don't really understand the true severity of until your regular opponents catch on and hammer them time...
Rolling them all at once is objectively better, since you have more information on what you have available and what to drop for signatures. Unfortunately, as pointed out above, it is also incorrect.
The best strategy for rolling spells is usually to generate with your lowest-level wizards...
I'm still buzzing about how awesome that episode was. The final scene was just epic.
As for Age of Sigmar...I'm still not fully sure what this is? Is it a boxed game like Assassins or Dreadfleet? Or is it this rumoured skirmish game we've been hearing so much about? Or is it 9th edition...
Drop the hero vamp and up the size of the GG unit. T4 3+4++ is super, super soft and very easy points for your opponent. With the points saved you can probably afford Banner of the Barrows on that unit as well.
I might also suggest an extra wight for that unit. They're very cheap under the comp...
It's definitely pricey, and as others have mentioned means giving up M8. That's definitely a sacrifice.
Issue is that armour saves stop vampire lords dead when they're passed, and 5+ or worse 5+ rerollable saves are passed more often than I would like. I haven't tested it extensively, but it's...
Fair...hierotitan and casket are worth their points. Everything else is overpriced.
Carrion and skeleton horse archers could use a price reduction. 70 point chaff is problematic, given that you need to make that deficit up somewhere. I'd have killed for direwolves as a TK player.
Demigryphs. Empire knights. Steam tanks. Cold one knights.
Also solo characters, like peg masters/dreadlords, WoC disc/demon steed characters, scar vet/old blood cowboys. In addition to character walls (bret lances with 1+ save pallies and lords across the front, brolock buses with...
Because passed armour saves stop Red Fury dead. I've experienced that myself. People make a whack of 5+ saves, and your vampires end up doing like 2 wounds and get ground out. Razor standard can be a big help. Shame it's so damned expensive.
Yeah. I thought of that after playing Khatep for a while. He actually makes the lore playable.
If your hierophant had Loremaster (Nehekhara) the lore would be alright. It's the fact that you're choosing between damage capabilities and buffing capabilities that makes it so difficult. Plus the...
Also having 'My Will Be Done' be bubbled. Tomb Princes might actually be worthwhile if the effect was within 6". You might actually put a prince on a sphinx if that was the case (especially if his MWBD actually affected the mount...ridiculous that it doesn't. As if WS4 thundercrush attacks were...
I'd say one of the biggest problems with TK is that they're built to be the "construct army," but nothing in the army actually synergizes well at all with constructs. You can't heal them well, and the buffs don't really help them either. Light magic doesn't help greatshabti since they're ASL...
People always think this for some reason, but it's not actually true. It is only a) flaming and b) poison that don't affect magic items (unless the item explicitly says otherwise). Armour piercing affects magic weapons just fine.
As for how necessary it is, really what you're looking to stop...
I actually agree with the OP on this one. I've definitely been noticing that people have a lot more tools to straight grind-out the blender bus these days. WoC players with a demon prince AND multiple 3++ characters. DE players with just a whack of 1+ save masters. LM armies have traded scar vet...
@najo: Issue is...who is going to be teaching those new players? GW's new "one man stores" certainly aren't equipped to be doing that. They will be relying very much on existing players to bring new people into the fold, and that's not going to happen if they alienate us by turfing the system...
1) Warmachine has facings.
2) Round bases =/= removal of regimental play.
As I've said before, my guess is that they'll just change how the game calculates who can and cannot fight to something most abstract, as most new players seem to assume it works anyways. "No you can't just attack the...
I'm not seeming to recall that the LOTR trays are too wide. I have, however, seen people use THESE sorts of "conversion tray" products before. Or just magnetize their miniatures to a standard modular movement tray. Not too many people, but then there aren't too many demons players in our neck of...
Round bases absolutely does not mean individual model movement. GW already has movement trays for round bases, that Demon players have been using for years with their armies based for 40k. No different.
This is the true benefit of the terrorgheist. It's a "no brainer" shooting priority, that usually eats 2 full rounds of shooting before it goes down. Your opponent won't even think about whether there might be better options to shoot at (like my 1500 point double blender bus). People shoot at...
