Yes lore of metal is awesome! I've used several times with my HE's and hes, 3+ Sv Sword masters spearmen and white lions are super awesome! Plague of rust is also a great spell! Especially since it remains the entire game! Blades of Aiban is another awesome buff.

So it says in the spell description that the target unit must pass a strength test to perform certain actions including fleeing. So, if a unit breaks from combat and fails its S test would it mean that it is automatically caught and destroyed since its unable to flee?

If you really want an anti-ogre lord then take red fury, dread knight, hatred and frost blade! If everything hits and wounds you'd score a massive 48 wounds on his ogre which equals 16 dead ogres.. ouch! How? 4 attacks kills 4 ogres generating an additional 12 attacks to kill 12 more ogres...
