This comes to 2000pts on the dot

Its a small elite infantry army, and with 2 grave gaurd units in the centre it should be a tough nut to crack. There is a strong magic phase with 11pd and 2 bound spells so the unit of skeletons should get to a respectible size quickly providing there not blown away 1st turn. The wight king is one hell of a tough hero who will be rather difficult to kill, the armours drawbacks are negated with a great weapon and banner of barrows, aswel as the helm of commandment.

This is just an experiment list so what do you guys think of it?

First of all, the setup on your lord is odd. I'd put Infinite Hatred there instead of Walking Death, and also give him some bound item. The Accursed Armour is kinda meh, I'd rather get the Nightshroud and Sword of Kings than AA and GW. Hitting on 3+ against most things with Killing Blow on a 5+ and always striking first when struck against, except against the Amber Pendant, is much better. Just shove that unit right in the face of almost any nasty lord.

To make room for this change, I'd drop the 3 Fell Bats. Honestly, they aren't going to be of much use without US5.

Also, I recommend fleshing out on the Core Units more. Upgrading to 2250 Points is a definite to-do thing, 2000 points is just bleh. Also, you won't be able to increase the size of those Ghouls... some dedication could see a unit wiped out and you won't be able to get it back - I recommend increasing it to 15. This is a pretty much versatile size, since you can go either 7x2 or 5x3.

Unless the new wording is different, I think only one unit can have a Magic Standard?

The Black Knights seem rather useless here. I guess they could make for a good diversion and such, being kinda cheap, but don't expect much out of them.

gl hf :)

Lol, I think your suggestions would basically destroy the entire concept of his army JoB!

Clearly that Vamp is in the role of "not being in combat", with the hauberk for protection, so he should be fine. Obviously infinited hatred is not necessary on him since he'll be in the hatred unit anyway. The Wight Lord setup is pretty nice, and will be unexpected. The core section is looking a little sad, but if you think the Skeletons will survive and are happy to keep to the Ghouls as small flanking units, that's fine.

Where I play 2k is the standard game size, so your suggestion to add 250pts is useless, I don't think 2k is 'bleh'. I see nothing wrong with my lord apart from I could add some magic items, but points restrict. And how can you say accursed amour is 'meh', 25pts to make a t6 3wound hero, that can still hurt things and is relatively cheap, not to mention the bsb benefits. In fact he is probably my favorites choice in the army, that amour was practically designed for him

I personally think ghouls are a better support unit which is why there so small, and even if I loose them its no huge loss, its if I loose the knights id worry, though they can hide in or behind terrain till needed. The knights role is to support units so I feel their upgrades aren't necessary, I wont throw them into silly combats.

I understand I've skimped on core choices but don't forget theres 2 nasty grave guard units to make up for it, plus with corpse cart support the skeletons should get pretty large quickly (unless there blown away before i can raise them).

Plus I don't know where you got that 1 unit can have a magic banner, 1 skeleton unit yes, but not the entire army.

With the bats it was them or wolves, i have enough support units so I decided to add a harassment unit.

Thanks for the replies, but i see no reason to change the list, unless something else is pointed out.
