This is a rather heavymagic army, and I plan to use movement and magic to win the battle for me. Most often I guess I'll use Vc's own magic lore, it seems great. That gives me at least 2 vanhels a turn (book of Arkhan and count) and I can buff my 15 strong ghoul units to larger numbers fast.. If I meet an army that has some obvius weakness, i can change magic lore to whichever I want. Lore of metal seems nice against dwarfs.. =) I will try to keep the Count out of battles he cant handle and use helm of command on other units, that will work as anvils. And a big unit with my fighty hero vamp (gem of blood) with ws 7 will be a tough nut to crack.

So what is your opinions on this list, all criticism is welcome.

Hell, why not just go with a Blood Knight unit in this list? If you're running the characters in the BK units you lose Ethereal movement. Granted, you lota lose a Vargulf, and I love the little buggers to death and like to keep them well fed.

With 5 units of ghouls you NEED ghoulkin, seriously. Even if you barely move, it gives you the chance to get a free reaction to your opponents setup.

Count is good, hero vamps are fine, drop a summon ghoul for ghoulkin though.

Give it a try though and let us know how all those poison attacks go >:)

I do have a bit of a qualm on an item. You have the Flayed Hauberk on your Vamp, and I am not entirely sure this is legal without taking Avatar of Death or Dread Knight, as it says in the Rulebook you are not allowed to take magic armour on a character that cannot take mundane armour; Vamps don't have the option to take mundane unless you buy either aforementioned Vamp Power. Unless it says otherwise in the Vamp book, you may have to remove that.

The vampire book explicity states Vampires may take any magic item.

Of course, i'm also under the mind that they could without the exlicit stating in the book as they have access to Armor, Shields, etc. It requires a bloodline power but they still have access to it.

Well, i have thought abiout the goulkin ofcourse, but i think i really want a slow advance with this list, i have to build up my numbers and wear out schrolls before it gets really effective.. And there is the problem if i drop summon ghouls for ghoulkin, then i have one dice that i cant raise more gouls with, what should i do with that one.. ?
I have a question though, if i add 5 ghouls to my 15 unit making them 20, and 3 dies.. Can my vampire without summon ghouls raise them back to 20?
I hope i can test the list on sunday, if i do will report how it (and me) performed.
