Hi all,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I already had an idea for what I wanted to take as my list for the vamps.. I just needed the book to confirm numbers... it is VERY different to the other horde type of lists you have seen of late... here it is:
730 - Vamp Lord, Zombie Dragon,
L3,
Red Fury (all wounds generates another attack),
Ghoulkin (Ghouls can march before game starts),
Walking Death (+1CR),
Dread Lance (always hit),
Flayed Hauberk (2+Save),
Black Periapt (save one dice for next magic phase)
230 - Vamp,
BSB,
Hellsteed (flying cav mount),
Summon Ghouls (raise ghouls above starting size and +1 to cast),
Avatar of Death (HA/HW/Shield),
Sword of Battle,
Book of Arkhan
215 - Vamp,
Dark Acolyte (L2),
Hellsteed,
Summon Ghouls (raise ghouls above starting size and +1 to cast),
Accursed Armour (Heavy Armour, +1T, -3WS, -3In),
Scroll
160 - 1 x 20 ghouls
208 - 2 x 13 ghouls
080 - 2 x 5 pups
100 - 1 x corpse cart, balefire
345 - 10 x Black Knights, Barding, FC, Warbanner
175 - Varghulf
2243 points
71 Models
8PD + 2bound + Periapt
6DD + 1scroll
The general is the absolute crux of the army, more than likely going to get 6-7 attacks at str7, 2+save, and -1 to hit because of the dragon.
Two big hammers being the knights and the dragon/varghulf combo. Lord can also create some zombie diverters if required to ensure that he gets into combat.
Two support casters which can keep those ghouls alive and increase their unit size quick smart by turn 1/2. Ghoulkin will move the ghouls half way across the board to put pressure on my opponent immediately.
Your thoughts appreciated.
