I was a bit bored....and with all woodie talk in darmorts thread, i decided to make an EG based list myself.....and i might even use this one for a tourny if i can borrow a woody army at some point

one more thing that made this list intresting is the fact that i can more or less build it from 2 batalion boxes and one hero model(well you just have to use that highborne with great weapon) if i scratch build the treaman and use some old HE spearmen for possible converting......and since i play HE i do ofcorse have 2 eagles already

Characters:
Highborne 251
netlings, gw, rhymers harp

Noble 140
BSB, oaken armour or terror spite or magic bow/hail combo(or possibly even fear banner)

Spellsinger 140
lvl 1, 2 scrolls

Branchwright 140
cluster, lvl 1

Treeman 285

Eagle 50

total: 2247

There is a pdf called magic items of the old ones(relating to the 2001 campaign)and it has a bit of FAQ.That FAQ says that a BsB cannot have any two handed wep even the magical version so the magic bow/hoda is a nono.I dont like treemen and especially dont like treeman bsb combo but thats a personal choice. You should get some wardancers if possible. They can take on fully ranked units in the front.I can see how that list would work though. If you would post tactics that would help.

refaring to a 6th ed FAQ for ruling on this mather will hardly help me since i dont play the 6th ed of warhammer anymore;)

right now as far as i know this is a gray aria in the rules and i have yet to see anything that rulewise prevents you from taking the magic bow/HoDA combo on a bsb in the 7th ed, the same goes for using the "armed to da teef" rule on a black orc bsb

Wardancers:
i dont see mutch of a reason to use them since i think dryads are better(a sumary on why i prefare dryads over dancers):
1) they cost less in terms of points(so you can get more of them)
2) they are more resilient to missile fire and return attacks in combat
3) they couse fear
4) i prefer not to let average dice rolls win combats for me against ranked units......since i know that my dices are ether horrid or god damn brilliant
5) the difrence in hitting power is smal after the first round of combat
6) and the most important factor of them all; i have never liked any of the gw wardancer models, while the new drydas are exelent

Tactics:
this will be a hard part since i have never used this kind WE list befor...

but i will probebly play in a semi offensive style and move forward early game to put on pressure and back of when needed.......and use the archers to give me an edge in directing the movement phase
