Vampire Lord - lvl 3, Master of the Dark Arts, Forbidden Lore, Summon Ghouls, Helm of Commandment, Walach's Bloody hauberk, Sword of Might, Talisman of Lycni

Vampire - lvl 1 (2), Avatar of Death (GW), Dark Acolyte, Flayed Hauberk, Dispel Scroll

Vampire - lvl 1, BSB, Dread Knight, Drakenhoff Banner

Wight King - HA, Sh, GW, Crown of the Damned

25 Skeletons - LA, Sh, FC
24 Skeletons - LA, Sh, FC, Banner of the Dead Legion
15 Ghouls - Ghast
20 Zombies - Standard
6 Dire Wolves

24 Grave Guard - HA, Sh, FC, Banner of the Barrows

6 Knights of the Blood Keep - Standard, Banner of Hellfire

The Wight King goes with the Grave Guard to supply a few wounds. The combo of the Helm and BotB will yield a 2+ to hit some of the time. The WKs main duty is to go after enemy characters. His high T and 4+ ward save should keep him safe. Also, if he goes stupid (Ld 9) I can still Danse his unit around.

The BSB goes with the KotBK if I need to keep them safe. Otherwise he will pal-around with my general in one of the skelly blocks or the ghoul unit.

The wizardy vampire is to be a jack of all trades. He is my secondary caster and can provide a sustained S 7 in case I encounter any stanks.

The general is primarily a caster and can function as a combat fighter if the opportunity arises ... having the Drakenhoff Banner in the army certainly opens some opportunities for him.

Due to comp restrictions I'm limited in the number of small units I can put in the army. The skellies are large so that I don't feel the need to summon into them to start with. The army is intended to function in a point denial capacity. Each block of troops can have a support combat character. The zombies can pin annoying units in place and the wolves will screen the knights.

Comments, suggestions, etc are welcome.

I definitely like the list Nermal. There's only a couple things that I'd switch out:

Trade Flayed Hauberk for something else. Personally, I'd want some of that Jaguar Saurus look-alike action on the Vampire rather than the lord. It's a little less risky for you because you could lose your general to a bad round of combat if he goes around by himself. OR, maybe do a straight swap - dispel scroll for talisman. Looking at it, that's too many points for the lord.

I just don't see the charm being that good on a lord - you want him in the middle of a big block of back-up dancers.

My 2 cents anyway. Other than that, I think the list is pretty soft-looking, but plenty hard.

I don't feel this list has a lot of synergy. You have large slow moving blocks of infantry, and a big block of semi-protected KotBK. If they go to protect a flank they'll be lead around by the nose. They do have the wolves to help protect them, but personally I think they're too vulnerable. One hard hitting unit without support. One flank charge could ruin them. All you'd need is some fast cav to be in charge room, and they'd be charging and overrunning. (At least, that's what I do with direwolves to Chosen Khorne Knights which are pretty much the same thing).

I feel it's an infantry list with the KotBK thrown in just cause they're cool. For effectiveness, I would think a pair of Varghulfs would work better, extra points spent on banners for your big units and maybe a corpse cart.

As for the hellfire banner, I'm not sure of it's purpose. Maybe to hit ethreals and forest spirits? The summon ghouls only works on a single unit, and the Banner of the Undead Legion... you have 25 models in this unit. I don't know why you'd need to double it.

I definitely think the BSB should be with the KotBK to help keep them safe.

At least change the banner of the dead legion to the Warbanner. I'd also debate the standard on the zombies; I haven't played with them yet or done the math, but it's a unit that looks like it could give up that standard. Although the standard may help them keeping from crumbling for a bit.

I agree with swapping dispel scroll for the Talisman of L if it's possible (I know SOM is 10 for O&G but no idea for VC). With this infantry army, where's he going to run to anyways?
