I plan to take this list to a tournament.

It's a bit of an all-rounder list - but mainly combat oriented. Hopefully I'll have enough magic (7PD+black periapt+BoA) to get a few spells through. The Count will eat through anything and will concentrate on wiping out smaller units and mages early and then coming back for the kill towards the end. The bats are to support him and try take care of cannons/bolt throwers.

Other than that, plenty of static combat res, good fighting abilities all round.

If you're not giving your heroes magical equipment, just leave them out. The Wight King BSB is a sad sight, but ok. Give your Vampire a GW. Otherwise it looks fine

Looks like an interesting list to play with. I'd only be afraid of losing my Vampire Lord quickly(or his mount) for his obvious importance. For that matter he might aswel have the big red shoot me banner and yellow im worth lots of points T-shirt =)

Tho I imagine it should be possible to keep him out of harms way, but by the looks of it you intend to get him in harms way as quick as possible. (ghee wish my name was Harm (which is a dutch name.. would be great to be going around '' get out of Harms way'' etc ^^)

The Wights' high Ld is very useful should the General die.
With his high mobility he should be able to pick the fights he wants. Would it be worth swapping the Wristbands for Crown of the Damned? I'm a bit scared of stupidity on my General.
With the decent supporting magic it shouldn't be too much of a hassle healing him up if he takes a couple of hits.

I've edited the WKs to give them a little more bite too

Personally, I'd love to see this list work.

Always liked the idea of a vampire on a big mount chopping things to little bits and bloody heaps.

Unfortunately that usually doesnt work to great.

last time I gave it a try, I was lucky enough to meet tzeench and my general and mount got dragged around the board by their move to this point spell and he got butchered. And before that he got shot/his mount got shot.

Would like to know how you're doing with this list mate !\

The wrist bands will protect you against shooting but not the mount meaning you could get stranded without support if shot to hell & whilst you are monster in CC if you get charged your lack of CC armour sv could wipe your Lord out. I wouldn't put the crown on him, I personally don't think its worth having your Lord stupid for a turn. Your better in my opinion having this setup if you want a killy but survivable lord:

Red Fury
Infinite Hatred
Beguile (Against enemy characters as it gives you re-roll to wound if successful you have more chance if generating attacks with Red Fury

Bloodrinker - keeps the wounds up on your geenral without having to rely too much on magic

and either

Nightshroud & Gem of Blood - More combat orentated protections as you which pretty much strike first and demolish with the above setup

or

Walach's Bloody Hauberk - More protection against shooting with 4+ sv / 5+ ward

With your last 10 / 15pts buy the Talisman of Lynci, more as a backup but at least if your mount dies you can leg it 18"!!
