Hey guys,

Don't know if these particular links have already been posted somewhere, but if not, feel free to mooch & provide further ideas! :)

Both of these are just variations of Carnosaur + Balrog Wings, but I think with the right paint job and possibly some odd "undeadifying", they would make a great zombie dragon.

Flying Carnosaurus Rex
A different pose from the usual dragons.

Carnosaur Wyvern
Painted Carnosaur Wyvern
This is what I'm tempted to use for my Zombie Dragon! :D

Any thoughts on how to make these beasts look more dead?

Also, feel free to post your zombie dragon ideas here!

wow thats an excellent looking mini

but how to kill it and then re birth it into a wyrm of great terror, that is a great question
well i dont like working with metal since i have no experiance in it and whatever experiance i has amounts to little more than decapitations with a set of nail clippers
but plastic
i can do plastic
now naturally to kill a dragon you have to do alot of damage so the wings could be shredded and ripped

my only suggestion with the metal body is literally rip its guts out...

i hope that helps and doesnt get me in prison

I've always wanted to make a dragon out of that model, but I've been very uncertain about the project till now. This tempts me to make a REAL dragon :).

As suggested in the comments below the unpainted version it should have a bunch of horns on it's head in order to make it less dinosaur like. Then he'll need some arms obviously...

Now on to the weathering: Thin out the scales rather much as most of them are shure to have fallen off the body during the decaying process. Then open several holes in it's body (an open belly wound, showing muscles, exposed bone etc. -The bare knee cap being my favorite...). Leather straps, ropes and such holding it together would also add to the overall effect. The wings should be ragged as well (as ironlord suggested).

To add to the base you could do as on the pic, but instead of the log place the rubbles of a huge tombstone beneath it's right foot. Place some smaller tombstones on the base too.

My zombie dragon is in hiatus since I've yet to write one into a list. What I've done though is bought one of those dinosaur skeletons that you chop out of a block of stone. If you can find one you don't have to excavate then big thumbs up! I then rolled milliput into sheets (this is not as easy as it sounds!), pulled at the edges to make it look ragged and then laid it over the skeleton. I also made horns out of milliput to make it more dragonlike.

The status at the moment is that I used wire and card with milliput spread on it to make the wings. They look a bit rough though and since then I found some dragon wings on a toy that I think will look better. I'm putting off yanking off the old wings and putting the new ones on until I actually have a list to run the dragon in!

EDIT: I have been inspired to resume work! Put the new wings on. I need to mould over the hinges in the wings but I think the effect so far is pretty good.
