After spending the last moth complaining that Ghouls not only don't fit my army's fluff, but I also dislike the models I had to make a descision. The two choices before my were: spend the rest of my days without ever experiencing any ghoulie-goodness, or simply change the fluff! So, getting down to my thinking stage (which isn't much and involves copius amounts of listening to Linkin Park and playing too much Battle for Wesnoth) I finally came to an answer: the unit I would use in place of ghouls would be the dreaded Spectre, the semi-ethereal ghosts of powerful heroes and wizards; too powerful to leave the mortal realm unembalmed, but not enough to fully manifest themselves.
