Whats the best/most funny/cool conversion you've seen or done.
Most funny ive done is a dwarf skiing with beer filled poles
Coolest ive done is an imperial guard shotguning a tyranid who interupted his lunchbreak i dont know why maybe its the way hes standing?.Coolest ive seen is a dwarf standing with his arms folded on top of a troll head.

*Looking absolutely dumbfounded*

I didn't think that entering "Victoria Lambs Orc Squabble Diorama" into google would get an actual usuable result.. but here for anyone else like myself who was or is as curious as hell and wanted to see what the diorama that Richie mentioned looks like...

I'll have to remember to show that one to my Orc/gobbo playing mate.. he'll love that one :D

And she is an aussie of course.. I've also always really enjoyed Glen Lamprecht's work as well; you can see his dire wolves on the same page.

wow :'( makes me feel sad about my minis

Don't get too disheartened. Bear in mind that these represent the best in their area/region/country, and take months of planning and work to achieve the result.

Look on them as a source of ideas and inspiration, and a standard to aim for.

On the other hand if you look at the lizardmen diorama that got 3rd place it gives you hope.
Cant quite understand why that gets a placing.
But the Orc one is very good.
My fave one had to be the Bar brawl diorama I saw in a WD years ago, can anyone remember that one?

Don't know how converted it is, or how funny it is, but this is one of the best damn Ghouls that I have ever seen so far....

I think I recall a couple, one relatively recently (last 5 years or so) and one very many years ago, I think to accompany a roleplaying scenario (I cant recall the system). I think the latter may have been nearer 20 years or so.

Here is a diorama that I picked up as a present (for me, from present money :)). I love the lighting effect (some warpstone), and the poses.

The wood elf is a weebit static, though.

I think that it is in part the photography.

Its very nice, I dont really understand the pose of the Wood Elf however.

It is looking like the elf has been backed up to the broken pillar, and is balancing on its ledge whilst fending off the little lady. I think that the first picture best shows this.

Hey,
the best conversion i have done myself is a tie between two of my rat ogre's:

The first one has an impaled peasent, and the second one is based on a hunter from the Halo games.
Cheers

Very impressed Hexter!

@ Skaramak - It was an empire bar with humans fighting, there was a pick pocket taking advantage of the melee and lots of spilt beer, think it was the one 20 years ago, I think the pub was from a WFB campaign.
Showing our age here!

Those Rat Ogres are cool. I love the Halo series, and the Hunter is one of the fiercest opponents. The impaled peasant is gruesome, I like.

I'm fond of your highlighting on the first Rat Ogre too. Good job. :)

You probably remember that awesome bloodthirster which got banned due to religous symbols or whatever. The sheer amount of work put into that and of course the result just made my jaw drop. I´ve seen alot great minis since but that one is just beautiful. A work of art.

Cheers

The brawl was in White Dwarf again not too long ago. I particularly liked the man standing over a fallen opponent, unaware of a second abot to leap onto his back from the bar itself.
