hi all. i have, in very early development, the plans for a black legion of nagash. i was inspired to create this by the novel runefang. a black legion of nagash, or the best as can be described, is a host of skeleton warriors, black knights, and zombies (the victims of the army) led by a BLACK LORD OF NAGASH, who is basically one of nagash's twelve wight lieutenants. thier numbers have been thinned to 11 black lords after Zahaak the worm was destroyed in 2015 (read runefang)

here i will be taking suggestions for the fluff, names, and even conversion ideas for my black lord and his legion, including "necromancers" basically i will be modeling them as wights with magic powers.

this is the start, and hopefully, with the comunnity's support, i can model this army.

(also i am trying to gather empire knight figures, please contact)

Hello Marcus,
So this army will be "Count As" Vampire Counts, or will you be creating your own rules.
It is a fairly unique idea from the similar projects of which I've seen. You said that you were looking for suggestions so here are some for you to consider:
-Model Necromancers using the Wraith body as a base, removing the scythes and adding staffs, orbs etc, with undead raising around the bases.
-If you are looking for names have a look at this source 20,00 Names.com:
Hebrew Male Names: http://www.20000-names.com/male_hebrew_names.htm
Egyptian Male Names: http://www.20000-names.com/male_egyptian_names.htm
Good Luck!

Also, for the rules such as that of a Vampire which The Dark Sheep mentioned you could create your own fluff based rule and use an already existing rule as a count as. For example the Vampire rule could be employed as the Wight King (whatever your going to call it's) Aura of command, enhanced by Nagash enabling the Vampire to cast spells etc.

If your going to use Dire Wolves in your list you could heavily convert the existing ones into bone wolves for example, and the perhaps the Fell Bats/Bat Swarms as some kind of Spirit Creature, but they wont have the ethereal rule.

Good Luck!

yes, i chose karanos as a name, but it will be replaced. what i am going to do is model a black lord of nagash out of greenstuff and gg parts, and use him as a vampire lord/count with magical abilites, and then also have a cc puch. i will, of course, explain the strength of a vampire in my fluff (nagash's blesssing, powerfull will, etc. actually the knights will be used black knights of nagash, with the more powerfully binded as blood knights. so yes crimson i guess these will be count as vampire counts.

well, from rough in my head estimates

10-15 oop saraus warriors minus shields (the corresponding shields are available via GW)

20-39 oop skinks with bows

10-12 sauraus warriors (current, HW/SHIELD, some missing shields)

1 skink priest minus staff top.

I see you found your way over here! Great!

And already loads of aswers!

I think the count as vampire wight is a really appealing idea, since I really like wights, and having one of them as a general would be cool. :) The results of your army would be very interesting to see!
