I haven't seen this be asked anywhere, apologies if it has already. Do you need to read the other books in the realmgate series before reading those with the undead in them or can I just read the ones I want to?

I read lord of undeath without reading the others and it seemed quite self contained, so I'd say it doesn't matter too much.
