Favourite Moment Thus Far....................

Simple enough:

What has been your favourite moment in the TVC up until now?

I'm presuming most will choose something that happened to their characters but i was just curious........

If you remember what chapter it was in please say so.....much easier top go back and read then.

 

[Trevy the Great]

If not perhaps my favorite, a moment I enjoy even now. If someone does't know where this comes from, it also shows how much of an old man I'm getting to be.

Vekarin strode forward, glancing at the motley assembly of Vampires and Necromancers. In his hand he held the severed head of a man.
"I was summoned!" A voice rose deep from within the mask and rebounded around the room.
"I was called away from important duties to a council of the Vampire Lords. I arrive and immediately all of learned colleagues dissapear. An alarming coincidence, I think! Now I have devoted enough of my precious time to this council, so I might as well see it through!" The Lord boomed. His voice caused all those in the room to shudder.
"But, as I said. I was summoned without a reason given, so I'm here to find out why!"
He was replied by many a blank stare from the assorted vampires.
Vekarin threw the severed head he held at Simon.
"Your border guards were most uncooperative. I see no reason to keep these humans near your citadel. They are naught but a waste of time and energy."

My favourite moment in the TVC so far was when Malachi/DoN went through the vampires one by one after they had made it into his laboratory in chapter 28.

"Malachi looked quizzically at Beleeara as he spoke. As he heard its words he chuckled.
"Such a clever pussy. Aren't you hmm? Yes you are! Yes you are!" With a comical skip he moved around Beleeara before in a stage whisper he said,
"You've missed a spot by the way," gesturing to the spot that the cat had been licking moments before. Hobbling away Malachi peered curiously at the other council members,
"Hmmm. A barber I see, but I have no hair to cut! and what's this? A beautiful lady bearing blades? Hmmm mmmm, lustful dreams tonight so I will hmm ha ha." Pausing next to Helena he waved his hand through her, apparantly ignorant of her glare.
"Whereas you could actually come into my dream I would wager my lovely?" He gave her a lewd wing, "In my imagination my muscles are far from wasted...if you ah....understand my meaning hmm ha."

That part was especially great, had me laughing when I read it the first time.

So no one else has any favourite moments?

I quite like when Lesa was captured by Rask, infused with Warpstone and let loose on the Council. Ah, the one time when I had goo reason to go overpowered and have Lesa blasting the crap out of everyone!!

 

[Simon von Carstein]

As the lightning blasted every enemy around him Simon saw his chance and ran forward dodging Finelle's flailing fists he leapt into the air and bringing Animessor down neatly trimmed Finelle's fingernails on her right hand to the elbow. Finelle screamed and with her left hand struck at him. Simon was briefly blinded by pain as her left hand slashed his face. Snarling with rage he hurled himself at her but was seized by her left hand and forced to drop Animessor "YOU FILTHY HARLOT I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR HEAD OFF!!!!" he roared as he struggled in her grip. Finelle brought him closer "you belong in my stomach Simon and once I've prepared you the right way you should fill me up for at least ten minutes." she sneered her eyes began to glow and Simon felt himself beginning to change into something more edible in pain he clamped his hand on to Finelle's arm as his eyes started to glow. Finelle was startng to feel strange Simon now seemed to be getting heavier she glanced down at her arm which seemed to be withering "NO!!!!" she screamed as realised what was happening and tried to break Simon's grip but he held on as the rest of her started to wither away. Then with her last ounce of strength she hurled him away from her into the ruins of one of the walls. Simon slammed into the wall and fell to the ground he tried to get to his feet but a noise above made him look up as the wall already unstable collapsed on top of him burying him. Finelle in great pain and partly withered scurried away all thoughts of war forgotten.

This is one of my favourite moments from chapter 16 which I personally think is one of the best as I believe this is when Simon began the transition from arrogant vampiric nice guy to arrogant vampiric darklord.

Vekarin strode through the long, deserted halls of the Violet Citadel. He was glad to finally be rid of the squabbles of the petty Vampire Lords. He had not seen such stupidity wince the reign of Vlad during the Wars of the Vampire Counts, and did not wish to again. Perhaps forcing the Lords to cease their incessant infighting and face a common task or foe would show them the reason they were truly within his innermost sanctum. If it did not, then he would have no reason to keep them alive as their armies would better be put to use fulfilling the original will of the Council incorporated into his own, and he would dispose of them.
As he strode down a long, dark hall that resembled almost every other one within the fortress identically, Vekarin's balefire eyes espied a dark shadow upon the floor. As he neared the area, Vekarin saw it to be a dark-robed figure. It was Zosz, chief Necromancer to the Scarred Rose, lying on his side upon the cold stone floor.
"What in Abhorash's name are you doing there!?" Vekarin asked angrily. It was not like his chief spellcasters to sweep the floors with their own bodies. Zosz simply held up a hand, urging Vekarin to wait. Vekarin had to suppress the urge to kick the prone figure repeatedly, but when Zosz did something strange, it was usually important. After a few moments Vekarin grew once again impatient and boomed.
"Well? What is it?"
"I hear something." A low and rasping voice replied, yet underneath the exterior it seemed slightly rambunctious.
"What?" Vekarin asked.
"Digging."

Hehe.
