Here Comes Konrad!

My gaming group will be running a campaign, 2000 points, no Lords. Special characters are allowed, and so I'm going to take an army with Konrad at the helm! Here's what I'm thinking of...

82 models, 6 power dice, 5 dispel dice, 1 scroll, 1 stone

However, we will all be rating each other's army lists... does this sound too nasty? I probably won't put my BSB with Konrad, unless I'm going up against Swordmasters.

I've not got the army book yet so these are all estimated, but I expect I'm on the right lines. I might replace the Black Coach with 3 Wraiths with Banshee (Going to rip up my Spirit Hosts for the Tomb Guardians I've been using until now), what do you think?

Looks good to me. There's just one hitch ... the Skeletons cannot carry the Royal Banner of Strigos ... but grave guard or black knights can.

Aww shoot! Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't sure whether to bother with some Grave Guard or not, I guess there's my answer

Garve Guard are very good in the new rules. I've had several test games with them and they always shine.

I love it EvC. A 2+ save BSB is just hillarious. True about the Strigos banner, but then again GG are probably the best VC unit, if not the best in game

Give them GWs, would be funnier if you gave them BotB and the bookworm a Helm of Command so they hit on 2+ and wound on 2+ (against most units). Lead by Konrad though Hatred probably is better overall if you re-rolling 3+ on the GG anyway. Wights forever!

He does always re roll missed attacks - so said the VC based White Dwarf, plus the whole receiving extra attacks for wounds he causes... I'd go with BotB myself. Just to be extra nasty!

Ah, I was told he has 75 points of Bloodline powers, I assumed that would be Red Fury and Avatar of death, since he has heavy armour and an additional hand weapon. Infinite Hatred as well, plus a double-damage-dealing sword- is this guy really under 150 points?!

I guess I'll go without Grave Guard and replace the Strigos Banner with the double unit strength one. Oh and I'll have to put Flayed Hauberk on my general really, it's suicide otherwise.
