He painted these to give away to a couple of stores in Germany IIRC. I think he said that the female vamp took around two weeks to paint, which should give a time scale of how he does things. He runs the odd workshop which I'd love to attend if I had the time and money, mental note: must play lotto more. Can't wait for his DE stuff as thats his true love, and combined with the new figures should be superb.

The current eavy metal team aren't bad, they just can't compete with the guys at the top. They also have to paint whole armies for new releases rather than single masterpieces.

Yup, that's GeOrc.

What you can't tell from the female vamp in those pictures very well are all the hand painted stuff on her. It's insanely subtle and delicate.

Great stuff, female is easily the best.

Shame that winged vamp's sculpt is so dreadful. Apparently, GW has never looked at how a bat's wing is actually formed. Ah well. The painter made it look halfway presentable, at least.

and yes a saw them on druchii.net a few months ago when the new vamps was out......and dispite my high dislike of the models i can just stand in aw of Georc's work on them

Dislike the winged vamp?! Shame on you. It is an exelent sculpt. I'm not even buying it because there'sa nothing to convert. And as to "bat wings arn't formed like that", since when do bats have an 10' wing span? sorry for the rant, but that's my favorite (unaltered) model in the new range.

Well, we could go back and forth on "it's great!" and "it's dreadful!" all day

I'd just like to see the wing be...well...like a bat wing, since it is a vampire. You know...with the phalanges forming the "spines" of the wing, so that the wing is essentially a massive webbed hand with skin connecting it to the body (ala http://lpmpjogja.diknas.go.id/kc/b/bat/bat-wing.gif ).

GW has decided to make weird (and far too many!) spines coming out of the arm to make the wing. It just looks wrong. But hey, bats are one of my favorite animals, so I'm biased

Regardless - still a great paint job.

The female vamp is awesome and the model I like the best. But it's a shame that he did the eyes red, and her face isn't very good sculpted, I would've avoided the bright red lipstick that draw your eyes to her aweful mouth.

No love for Vlad and the mounted vampire from me though. They just look like chaos barbarians, regardless of paint job.
