Hello,

I hope that I'm posting this in the right section, since it has to do with modelling and stuff.. sort of. Anyway..

If anyone have ever bought the imperial engineer mounted on a mechanical steed, I would really like to know if the mount and rider are completely separate? I kind of need the steed for something else, heheh.

I'm talking about This Guy, by the way.

Thanks!

I would say no before yes. I havn't seen one in person, but I know the other metal empire Lords/Heroes that I have seen (My brother plays empire and I'm assuming the engineer is metal) were horse body with legs attached, then the torso glues on. Same as Mannfred on the Nightmare.

Sounds like good news MS. After reading the fluff & the rules I am really looking forward to seeing this conversion. What are you planning to mount (hur hur) on the horse for your mechpire?

Good news indeed! I was afraid that you would be right at first Scjar, I've run into way too many steeds with the rider's legs attached to it for me to feel any sort of certainity about it.

However, I hope I haven't sparked too much interest in this scheme of mine already. I have a pretty clear picture on how I want the end result to look like and if I'm unable to find anything around the internet that comes close to it, I'll either have to man up and sculpt it myself or commission it. In any way, this will probably be a long-term project, much like my army general Helena. It's a good thing that I'm a top-notch creator of stand-in's though!

Also, where have you been getting the idea that she's a vampire? I must admit though, "mechpire" do have a fancy ring to it... hmm...

Edit: Almost forgot, thanks Josef for bringing me these good news! :)

Judging by this Ebay Listing it looks like the legs are attached to the horse just above the knees and below the waist.

Sorry to rain on the parade if that messes with your plans = /

Oh... thanks for bringing that into the light, Aegis.

Anyway, I still think that it all could work out.. perhaps even for the better. If I will actually take up the arduous quest of sculpting, having a pair of legs to work over could prove to be an advantage. It might mess a little bit with my desire to keep it as close as possible to the original but I suppose that getting a bit of design freedom could make it a little bit easier to pull off anyhow!

This spark won't die easy, heheh. :D

I know it can be frustrating making your own stuff. when i made my mounted wight king i think i spent about 4 hours filing off all the imperial stuff on the horse so it didn't have stupid sigmarite symbols all over it ( it BURNS ) on the back half were it said Karl Franz ( assuming i ever actually get off my butt and paint with all my new found free time being unemployed and all) and sculpt back in Vigor Mortis instead. Replacing Sigmar's name with Nagash. Unfortunately for me i have a short attention span when it comes to painting -.-

Even without the green stuff goodies he till came out looking amazing.
