Mechwarrior 4 Cleared for free release

As some of you may know, a while back it was announced by catalyst game labs/ mektek.net that they would be doing a free re release of mechwarrior 4/mercenaries. I have been drooling in anticipation for so long I forgot about it, and now I just checked the website again after a few months of forgetting about it.

Now, they finnally have the full clearance from microsoft to actually do it, so it should be (finally) released soon as an updated version as a free download soon. I am so happy. I miss mechwarrior, and mechwarrior 5 (or mechwarrior reboot as it is more officially known) has been having alot of trouble getting made (legal issues with unseen mechs). I long to blow people apart with PPCs and Autocannons and LRMS again.

pfffffffft, i ran around in the puma with vmasc a couple of heat sink jump jets and as many flamers as i had hardpoints, and made you overheat and blow up =p

I love mechwarrior too, well the whole battletech thingy. Have read and re-read the novels about 6 times.

Loved the basic FASA game the best but the online stuff was great too. Will have to have a look at this when its ready

I sold all my mechs on ebay ove the last year :/ 104 of them, averaged about £5.00 each too. Still got all the manuals and maps though
