Moving hell

So I survived and got to my new place but half of it isn't done yet! OUt of pure frustration I plugged in all the cables to see if my i-net connection was already working and darn...that surprised me!

Now for a whole attic to convert to part gaming room part sleeping area, which will be fun, and the not so fun work of painting the bathroom, putting a floor in the hallway(yup no floor as of yet) and just making it livable. Right now it's all boxes and loose cables and that drives me insane.
Shouldn't complain though as I'm not at any risk of being beaten up in this neighborhood although we have two folks in the street who can't seem to play their damn music at a reasonable volume. At least it's during the day and not at 2 or 3am like my previous neighbors but it is annoying. Ah well can't have it all now can we?
On the other hand they do live underneath me so I could make their lives much, much worse:devil2:

I think I'll settle in fine, next door neighbors are great old folks and the others are cool too. So far the only annoyances have been loud music and loud talking but no drugs, being spat on and called names, urine and feces in the hallway and all that lovely stuff my old neighborhood had.
Just wish my dog would settle in though. She's been kind of edgy about the whole thing as she's an old lady and can't stand change all that well.

That said the new house has some great opportunities for hobby-expansion! My own gaming room-attic-thingy! Yay!

Congrats Zephyr! Fantastic to hear you are in a new place where you won't get any more trouble. About the music thing, well if it's during the day I would be ok with it. I know some people like to play loud music, me included, so I think it is only fair if they do it during the day.

The gaming attic sounds really good - make sure you get some pics posted. Any gaming groups for you to join nearby?

Yeah one of them does it at daytime so I don't care much but the other starts at an ung'dly hour. That;s the one that is on his final warning. Like you I also love to play some loud music now and again and what I call music...well...

Two big gaming groups nearby that I'm going to check out further but so far they both seem like cool guys and gals as one has three women included. Don't see that often and they're really cool (and about my age and single *coughs*).

When I get to it I'll post some pics, right now the gaming room has low priority but when everything else is done I'm going to put some serious time into it. I could put two tables in there and still have plenty of room to walk around with four people.

Gaming room plans are officially dead and buried as I'm back to my old financial state; broke. My Great Dane was dying and needed emergency surgery which cost me 900 euros. Not to whine because she's doing fine now and I'd rather have my Dane than a gaming room.

Now it's just an unfinished attic with two gaming tables.:slapface:

Glad to hear the dog is well. And yes they can put a dampner on financial hope. But pets are wierd as you get so attached they become so important nothing else matters. Hope the old girl stays well.
