Why do undead need musicians?

It makes no real sense to waste a possible club on pointless communication(as per my understanding)
Zombies- throw some brains where you want them to go instead of making one hit a loud thing that is annoying the vampire slightly.
Skeletons- no ears or brain or lungs( why give them a horn they can't blow)
Ghouls- don't care
dire wolves- dogs have to be trained to respond to stimuli.

i apologise for my rantyness but i needed to let that out

Same reason Beastmen and Greenskins blow horns and bang on drums its scary. but where theirs is a primal blood-pumping, heavy metal, beat your chest, the Undeads is empty souless just noise like there is no one behind it just a constent droning sound. Sure it does nothing for the Undead but it creeps the hell out of the living.

Why do undead need musicians?

They don't really, however even the undead need a hobby.

I prefer to think of it as the musicians are simply going on tour & have brought their own roadshow with them. The Vampire Lord/Master Necro is the tour manager, other vamps/necro's are the roadies & the Banshee's the lead singer.

It makes perfect sense if you think about it

Skeleton warriors do not need banners or to march in regimental formation either- they simply fall into their habits from when they were live soldiers pre-barrow burial.

You need lungs to stand upright, march around and stab people with a sword, yet skeleton warriors can still do all of those things.

No you don't; it's just that you wouldn't survive for very long without lungs. You can still stab someone; you just can't breathe.
