Project : Strigoi Lord - WiP

Ok, I really dont like the current strigoi models so I´ve finally decided to make a monster of my own:

Parts used:
Undead steed
- Tail cut off, limbs cut off and repositioned to an erect state, shortened neck.

Cold one
- head and feed.

Greenstuff to reinforce certain joints.

The next step is to give him muscle and tissue, he will not be as boney as it looks right now. Neck will be in proportion with the head and so on.

The pictures are terrible indeed but you do get a decent idea anyways:

Again, sorry for the quality but it will improve as I get to know the new camera of mine...

That looks very cool but I'm not sure if it makes me think Strigoi.

It looks a lot more like a contruct of some sort - almost looks like you could mount it on a 50mm base and use it as a DOW Giant.

10/10 for the modelling - it looks fairly creepy - will be interesting to see it when it is 'fleshed out' - probably won't look so much like a construct.

Woa, wouldn't think of it as a Strigoi but the parts used makes a significant result.

I have to give you props for making such a cool model. I never knew the legs of a Cold One were that thin, though.

Makes me think of a Daemon, the longer I watch it. I don't think it's that big to make it a Giant really. I think it's Ogre-sized?

Indeed, It´s more ogre than giant sized. Since the neck and body is so thin and the head looks much bigger than it really is, thus making the entire model look much bigger as a result. The idea is to represent Strigoi as the monsters they are, bigger and far more terrifying that other vampires.
So yes, it is much bigger than the vampires we´re used to.

It is a WiP too of course and none of the muscles and skin have been added yet so expect a buffer version shortly.

Almost feel obligated to use Massive Monstrousity on this fellow, even though it isnt the best of choices

Few! At first I thought this was going to be another Strigoi from an orc thread but its nice to find this isn't the case.

Oh my bad, It´s just the feet and a bit of its leg(hence the greenstuff to make it more stable than just gluing it together).

Is this the basic proportions of the miniature and then your going to give it flesh out of green stuff?

Yepp, it will be given flesh. However it wont be some uber-buff strigoi, it will be very similiar to the strigoi where the bloodline power and points are given for the strigoi bloodline. I should be able to get better pics later tonight or some time during the weekend.

I have a good experience making fur and hair so I dont think making muscles and such will be that much of a challenge, I hope! The coming week will tell
