I don't think so, they are meant to be frenzied cultists so I don't think spears would be appropriate - though I agree about the Ld drop to 7.

Ahh a resurgence in the Nagashs' Legion Project, warms my cold heart.

I agree with the previous suggestions ie. restuction, stubborn with character, and I think they should be dropped to 11 pts (to be on the safe side).

And I think we may close to setting up a poll soon?

Weapons and Armor: Two hand weapons and heavy armor

Options:
-Any unit may upgrade one Cultist to a Musician for +5 pts.
-Any unit may upgrade one Cultist to a Champion for +10 pts.
-Any unit may upgrade one Cultist to a Standard Bearer for +10 pts.
-Any unit may give their Standard Bearer a magic banner of up to 25 pts.

Special Rules:
-Frenzy
-May only have as many units of Cultists as there are Nagashi Captains
-The unit benefits from the stubborn rule if a Nagashi Captain joins the unit.

Equipment: Hand weapon, shields, light armour, Bows (Hand weapons and shields, along with lt armour instantly gives good survivability to the unit. The bows are there as I liked TDLMFs suggestion of having a ranged unit in the army.
Options: May take a musician for +5 pts, a standard for +10 pts and a champion for +12 pts

My apologizes Disciple, but I was referring to this entry in the thread, not the Cultists. Also, I do agree that frenzied units generally wouldn't be suited to be equipped with spears.

Yeah they sound like a fairly solid unit with enough cons to mitigate their point cost of 10.
