Assembled lords and ladies, I come to you asking for tactics to use against my foes. one is a lizardman list with a slaan general, and the other is a jezzail heavy Skyre skaven list.

the slaan will have been bought down to lowest possible generation, and given the missile spell from most lores.

the skaven will have max (30?) jezzails, at least two ratling guns and probably two warp lightning cannons.

how can I weather the slaan's magic and dispell phase?

how will I stand against the magical attacks of all of the warplock weapons?

I am a little intimidated at the moment, show me some ideas and loopholes to use on these nasty armies.

Don't give the Slann targets worth killing, save dispel dice for game-winning spells like Unseen Lurker. Black Periapt can be used to store a dice, make sure you do so every turn for an extra dispel dice. Forbidden Lore + Lore of Shadows will scare the hell out of the Slann.

Again, don't give Skaven good targets, the Blood Keep Flag and Drakenhof banner will ensure Blood Knights get across the table. WLC will always flee as a charge reaction, so even if you only have one wolf left, throw it at it anyway! Raise new units in front of enemy shooters, and when placing terrain, put lots of woods down in the middle for Black Knights to travel through.

yea I just saw the new pit of shades spell, Mein Gott im Himmel. If i can trick him in to not dispelling it he will die on a 2+ or more likely I can make him try and dispell it and get Some raising done. the problem is that he always just uses one dispell dice and than adds the free one in, always...I hate that extra die.

Whoa there, a 2nd Gen Slann doesn't get to add a free dispel dice to his dispel attempts- if your opponents have been doing that, no wonder you're scared! Your opponent probably won't ever let you cast it, and he may even spend the game running around hiding and using his Skink Priests for line of sight (Make sure you kill them quickly), but if you do, happy days. Mind you he has Initiative 2, so it's only a 3+ to kill him (My Slann has been hit by irresistable force Pit of Shades twice, and I've passed the I-test both times, mwhahahaha).
