Strigoi Vampires

[antipatros24]

I don't know if this is a question that arises from time and may bother the older members of this forum, but I could not help myself. So, to the point. After reading "Ancient Blood" and though I was previously determined that I will go with Blood Dragons, I decided instead to go Strigoi. BUT, the main problem is that I cannot find models suitable enough to represent my Lord and his Court. The old GW models are horrible and I would not even used them under the threat of a gun, but unfortunately they are the only relevant models around. I thought about the new winged one Vampire (which is exactly the mix of Bestial/Noble feeling that I am looking for, okay, probably a little less spiky than I would prefer), but the wing does not really fit into what I would like to do.

So, I would desperately need your advice and suggestions of what model/models to use as Strigoi and if someone of you happens to know anybody who might make a commission piece for a reasonable for his work price.

So, nobody can help me with this? o_o

You could try a conversion job with the new chaos spawn kit. Theres lots of spikes and claws to work with so could be your best bet I think.

Either that or look outside of the GW range, reaper has some ace mini's, its where i get my Lovely Mistress Lesa from.

[Kodamas]

I have been commissioning my Lustrian Strigoi from His Masters Voice on Warseer. He has finished the first and this what he has come up with. The top heaviness was sorted in a later update which I can't find at the moment. But I fully support his commission work.

Thanks for the tips guys.

@Kodamas: I really like your model and its almost what I am looking for. I sent you a pm for the details of the sculptor.

i think that the closest figure of GW to start a strigoi conversion is a crypt ghoul..think about it
