Personally I disagree. I think the Revenant is fine as he is. He is ok in combat - 5 S4 attacks are good but not superb.

Again I must stress you are basing his cost too much on other armies. I think looking at him in context of this army he is ok.

He adds a little to the magic, but he is using up a lord slot which looses a heavy spell caster and the option to take a high level book of Nagash. His ward save is nothing more than most armies can choose - the only change here is, his amour is effectively chosen in advance for him. Plus you add in the fact that the amount of troops with magical attacks, as well as characters etc, ethereal is not as good as it used to be. He needs the decent ward save to stand any chance of surviving.

The only thing I do actually agree on is he shouldn't have a mount - at all. I can't see this type of character riding anything.

Not sure if you guys are even still talking about these... but I just started reading through these threads.

What's the logic on the Disciple with a To of 4? He's just a human spellcaster, right? To 3 would be much better.

And on the Dreadlord, To 6 is really high. Vampire Lords, Giant, Shaggoths, etc all only have To 5.

I'm thinking along the same lines as Bishop, T6 is overpowered if he has 4 wounds. Lets see who else is T6, Ogre double Lord special character, Epidemius, dragons... He's undead, so he's not gonna run from anything, and we can tool him up to deal out the hurt. Its a pipe dream :(

Lets talk heros! I wanna know about Assassins and the difference between Wight Kings and Nagashi Captains, I can't find them anywhere!

Marcus is right. Those two characters have been voted through, so no more discussion on them. However I will answer:

Dreadlords are meant to be the most powerful lords of Nagash's Legion. The oldest and most powerful of his lords, uber wight kings as it was. Them being that tough does make sense, and is balanced by the fact the Dread Lord is not a caster nor he is over-powered offensively.

The DoN is not a human caster but a centuries old Liche. You don't honestly think Nagash would entrust his darkest secrets and magic to someone who is alive, considering he wants to remove all life off the planet. So the extra points of T was incorporated to show that, and was accounted for in the points cost.

If you want to discuss other characters please open a thread for the relevant character you want to talk about.
