I've actually been trying to finds some background on a few of the locations (primarily Rattenburg House), but no luck thus far... if anything, there's probably just a passing reference in a Black Library novel.

Ive always liked to think of the Strigoi as a kind of werewolf-vampires. A creature taller than a man, with human body (with wolf paws) covered in fur, bat-like face with read or black eyes and winged arms like a bat. Now that I think about it, a bit like the varghulf, but more human.
