are there many games out there where you can play a vampire character (prefferably on PC or PS2 platform)
I like the elder scrolls but ive completed it like 5 times so im kind of bored of it each character a vampire and suprisingly all called von carstein

There's a game for PC based around White Wolf's Vampire role-playing game. It's called "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines", I think. Not bad, pretty atmospheric, but very buggy.

Bloodlines is amazing. Has a bunch of alternate endings as well, and your choices are actually do affect you as you go along. Played through it a rediculous amount of times.

Just make you get the patch downloaded, solves alot of the issues.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is and probably always will be the best game to feature a vampire protagonist. It's hard to get these days, though.

If you like your Lahmian style, there is always Bloodrayne and Bloodrayne 2... I'm sure Disciple must have them as well :D

Yup, played them on the good ole gamecube - semi naked red haired vampire, that comes out with slutty one liners, whilst kicking a guys bollocks out through his mouth - disturbingly arousing

The entire Legacy of Kain was awesome, excepting only Blood Omen 2. The final installment was my favorite of the series though. Bloodlines was pretty sweet, but I think a Sabbat game would have been much more entertaining. Then again, I've always been a bigger fan of the pen and paper, myself. Lasombra ftw.

Wasn't a film produced for the Bloodrayne series that was apparently horrible?

Two of them. They were directed by Uwe Boll, so I have no doubts whatsoever that they are horrible. He didn't even keep the same lead actress in both of them. A third one's in the works.

Now, the vampire movie that we should be paying attention to is the upcoming Underworld prequel... all done in the medieval setting of the second film's all-too-brief intro. That's something VC players shoud be excited about.

Really? Well I found the other Underworld films enjoyable at least more so then other Vampire/Werewolve ones that I have seen so I guess I should keep my eyes out for the prequel.

Yeah, saw the bloodrayne movies... Sometimes it was so bad it was funny. Though overall I didnt find them very Lahmia-esque at all, just a female vampire with rediculous weapons. Trust me, it gets REALLY akward in the movies(but apart of the fun).

We're drifting far off topic though, it seems.

Speaking of the Bloodrayne games, I was not impressed. Bloodlines have no equal IMO.

A Prequel to the Underworld movies? I'll be first in line for that. I thought the Hybrid character was kind of absurd, but it all turned out perfectly in the end.
