What is it about Roleplay and Posting?

I just don't get it. How come people just seem to post in roleplays so slowly? I'm not saying particularily about the TVC, as it is pretty fast for roleplays; but in general, posting in roleplays is so much slower than in other threads (The Countdown Thread, for instance ) yet it is so much more pro-active and, I guess seeing as they signed up in the first place, more enjoyable for the people than, say, posting a number. (Such as 69 erv: )

Can anyone shed some light on this anomoly? Or will it remain a secret forever? (And no, I don't want a load of posts telling me it's going to be a secret for eternity..... )

EDIT: DOH! I wrote the title out wrong. (Those of you blessed/cursed with grammar will see me obvious yet subtle error. Similar to the "There is a *new line* a blue bird *new line* sitting on the wall, or something like that anyway.)

Basically it's a lot easier to post a number then post in a roleplay, you have to think about the later for a bit and try and make it interesting. Some other posts there are much easier replys

It's because you have to type so much more in a roleplay - the same if you was thinking of writing a story.......on that note I need to go and post!

Basically, the only error I see is the superfluous a....
ZING! I'm making a habit of this.
Personally, I think that it's not so much the amount of text, but the effort required in thinking of what to write... In the countdown thread, all you have to do is take away 1 from the previous number.

Plus sometimes you really need a certain person to post and if they're busy then you're waiting for a while (you can't just have 2 or 3 people killing thousands of foes while the others aren't posting after all)
The effort involved in making a good post for a roleplay (something I'll never achieve :'( ) means that the 5 mins spare people have can't really be used for TVC, instead they can easily post a number or 1 or 2 lined view on another topic.

Grrr damn you people, giving me reason and proper, structured comments! Where are the random undead ramblings, that's what I want to hear!

On a more serious note, yeah, your right. Modern society has fallen to where people are too lazy to say anything, but would prefer to just write a number. (But what when you reach 0, eh?!)

It is easier a lot to can be replay a number of post with having the role play . While the posting you can get number of reply in a bit of instructions .
