Zombie dragon list

Tried this list out last night against High Elves

Lord
lev 3 Zombie dragon
Book Arkhan,2xpower stone,Nightshroud
Forbidden lore,Mastre of black arts,Summon bats

Necromancer
Extra spell, Corpse cart
2ispel scrolls

2 x 15 Skeleton
21 Zombies
Musician
6 Dogs
4 Bats
2 x 5 Black knights
Varghulf
Black coach

Worked well and got a solid victory, very impresed with the black coach and varghulf. Regeneration and ward saves on crumbleing make them so resilient
Not so happy wiht the cart think it needs upgrading with fire/stone to make it worthwhile

Looks like a nice list overall though, consider expanding to 2250 perhaps?

Not according to my book 35 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 95 points

Most events at the min are at 2000 points

Good army, maybe you could write a battle report? A zombie dragon mounted Lord in that size army is usually an eggs alll in basket approach, either it will get the hell shot out of it and and you will suffer and it will rampage around. Still saying that you have nicley balanced out the rest of the list. With that list I would say you would benefit most from the Lodestone for the cart as you already have two dispel scrolls.

Looks like a pretty good list, and as far as being over the magic item points cap, yours isnt, but the Vampire Lord example in the new book is!!!!! Damn GW for not catching that one!!!!!! Editors/proofreaders must've had the day off, for I amfinding many, many typos and mistakes!

interesting list; really think if you are going to field a dragon you might as well go balls out and field the "combat lord of much killing" to ensure you get the greatest point return out of it possible- definitely Red Fury and either infinite hatred/Dread Lance, some armor and a ward save.

Or go for the risky approch for your Lord of Forbidden Lore & Red Fury, choose Lore of Beasts and watch your opponents face when you unleash 7 S7 attacks possibly doubling upto 14 S7 attacks! :grin:, Then its the dragons turn!

Try "must have been fired just before they did the Chaos Space Marine book" and you might be close.
