I am thinking we should have a thread for each category of units (e.g vampires, zombies, monsters, war machines, etc)
So, heres my thoughts on zombie units.
1# We should base their stats on Vampire Counts zombies, but not make them be so useless, as they are the core of our army.
2# Some unit ideas.
Heroes- Zombie Captain
stats: M4 WS3 BS4 S3 T3 W2 I3 A2 LD7
Equipement: Hand Weapon
Special Rules: Undead
Former Self: The Zombie Captain retains a glimmer of his former self. When attached to a zombie unit, they can uses his initiative and leadership. Can take items that are not vampire/necromancer only.
Core- Zombie Pirates (The main core infantry unit)
stats: M4 WS2 BS0 S2 T2 W1 I1 A1 Ld3
Weapons/Armour: Dual Hand Weapons
Special Rules: Undead
Shambling Horde
Fresh Corpses- Invocation of Nehek raises d6+4 zombies, can be increased beyond starting size
Upgrades: Scurvy Corpse (Unit champion with +1A, +1I)
Corpse Drummer
Sail Bearer
Core- Zombie Whalers (Skirmishing Ranged Unit)
Stats: M5 WS1 BS3 S2 T2 W1 I2 A1 ld3
Weapons/Armour: Harpoons (Throwing weapon, doubles as hand weapon)
Special Rules: Undead
Shambling Horde
Fresh Corpses
Skirmishers
Ships Crew: Each Zombie Whaler unit must have a corresponding Zombie Pirate Unit. The corresponding Zombie Pirate unit must be larger than the zombie whaler unit.
How do those look? They retain zombieness but arent uselss on the battlefield I hope.
