2000 pts Vlad Undead legions (New. Looking for advice)

I have edited the army list since I first posted it. It no longer has vlad in it but still is an Undead legions army of 2000 points. So sorry for the inaccurate title.

Tactics: This is where I have no idea as I am not even sure that this is a good list. I have only played about 10 games of fantasy in my life and most of those games have been against the same opponent. But for tactics I would have the vampire in the 40 man skeleton unit and have the necro in the other unit of skeletons. Hopefully I could summon a unit of zombies and stick him in there before the skeletons get into combat. As for the morghast's and crypt horrors, just have them protecting the flanks. The vargheists can try war machine hunting. As you may be able to tell this is where I need some advice. Which is much appreciated. Thanks!

I like the list, but I think 8 levels is way too excessive. Cut the three levels on the Vampire Lord and get two extra Crypt Horrors. Then cut the Master of the Dead (not that important) and see if you can get in a Spirit Host or perhaps Black Periapt (would make dear @najo happy, I know ).

I have removed the 3 levels from the vamp lord and added two more crypt horrors + Black Periapt like you suggested. I had to remove one skeleton to make way for this . I decided to not take the spirit hosts base / bases because I wouldn't know how to use them correctly. Thanks for the advice
