RE: The Defenders of Stow
Eh they are orange...
I'm going to make a few more tonight I couldn't paint anything today since the weather was crap but ill do some stuff tonight
now that is some shiney gold
as i said great work, the colours are nice and solid and all painted ono great models
the rim of the bases, are they supposed to be highlighted?
most people use a single colour but i suppose the colour looks ok highlighted
but it looks so awesome that im sure we will let you away with it
the good thing about this project is that now your almost half way there it will seem like its getting easier from now on, you will fill in the gaps and it will look better and better with each day
good luck with that
RE: The Defenders of Stow
sorry for the double post but i was a very busy boy last night (not in that way DoN) and got painting my halbierders...
then i finished them!
well kind off finished them, they are battle ready and ill slap them down on the table at my local GW but they might get...
they look good, i really like how youve taken the time to kill the horses, the one with the popped open eye is wierd
great work on the red, its really solid and a good counter to the black
the gold ties in with this theme really well because it is also a nice solid colour
the champions...
RE: The Defenders of Stow
ok people ive done some painting and glueing and some more painting but the second lot of painting is just the beginning
it seems that the dwarves have leapfrogged in my list of priorities and suddenly got painted last night (2.5 hours of painting is a real mind...
RE: Carnivale de los Muerte: Updated 6/11/09
it would look absolutely awesome
i cant wait to see your army on a display board
but i guess we have to ask, what new performer is taking too th stage in the carnivale de los muerte?
RE: The 100 Zombies Project
its looking good, cant wait to see more (sorry to push you)
it looks strange to see that many raisers at the one time but once its all mixed in then it will look good
really good work with the snow, that patch on top of the branch is great
RE: The Defenders of Stow
I probably should mention that I'm struggling to think of a colour scheme for the human footsoldiers. So far I'm thinking of black and orange details. With silver metal and for the first time in ages I might use gold! Any ideas?
I'm also working on the dwarves and...
RE: The Defenders of Stow
Well I don't know how long youll have to wait because I now have my unit of dwarves open and I'm starting too build them. I've only made 6 of them so they match up with the shields I've greened so far. Maybe pics tomorrow if your nice hehehe.
RE: The Defenders of Stow
yeah i realised that just after i took the picture :)
well i stayed up till some point after midnight last night (despite pulling an all nighter after prom the night before) gluing and making a number of combinations of militia and making the last of the halbierders...
sorry DoN but i dont think so, they look fine as they are, giving them a bleached bone highlight will just make it look to much like the bone
maybe if you mixed some bleached bone into the last highlight like snakebight leather (i havent used that colour in ages) it might work
great update...
So as you know i've been working on my own little world, literally, so i thought it was time to give the undead of this world a break and focus more on things with a pulse.
This world centres around a series of novels I have been writing for about a year now and my main focus on the vampire...
RE: Carnivale de los Muerte: Updated 6/11/09
good to see that Carnivale de Los Muerte rolls on to another stage with more great work!
keep this up man good to see this is still going
if you have the monsters and mercenaries collectors guide there is an arabic themed army which features a bunch of ideas that might be useful
btw have you thought about throwing a cheeky fez in there now and again, it will probably work best on a zombie...
well ive read the guide for painting the model and it seems they just do a series of tiny tiny highlights
so i suppose you could always do that...
sorry i dont really know how to do mirrors but i guess that will work, but they did it NMM
