The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
What I'm frustrated by is that they discontinued the Wight King on Horse for a new one already. It's only a couple years old and looked great! I prefer it to the new one.
I did buy the new Sand and Bone set. It's frustratingly constructed as the large "fence" isn't see through according to...
Totally agree, hardcore gamers that are already deep into the game and love list building and min-maxing are not the target for Spearhead anyway. It is for new players. If you plan on playing several times a year the one construction of the army will get old fast. But, I rarely have time to play...
Luckily, I had very little painting to do as everything I fielded was already painted so that was lucky for me. I can't play any Flesheater Courts as the models required are all ones I don't have and I can't even substitute the mounted ones as there's nothing remotely like that elsewhere in my...
We definitely need new grave guard for AoS. The new skeletons are so much bigger than the old grave guard. That said, for Old World, I'm perfectly happy using both the old skeletons and old grave guard. Well, actually I'm using them for both games, but the point is they go well together one way...
Anyone here gotten into Spearhead? You know I'm a pretty casual gamer rules wise and often leave a bunch of rules out. So, Spearhead works great for me and you don't have to spend any money to get it up and running if you have the models already. It's a nice return to what I liked in 1e, having...
Seems like a waste of money to me.
Also not having points except online seems sketchy. Things online don't last forever.
But I do like the idea of the softcover smaller books.
The being able to see large targets with all shooting even in the back row is interesting. Our skeleton shooting is pretty bad (maybe unless you give them poisoned shots) but that means you could make 3x2 Ushabti and still shoot a dragon with them.
I can't imagine anyone thought Casket was...
I agree that wholly within 6" kinda ruins Neffy's best feature.
Seems like black knights might be okay again? That's nice as they been in a weird spot for ages now. But it looks like Grave Guard lost their 2 damage. Mostly it looks like everything is the same as it used to be with only minor...
It's also 1/3 more expensive than Dominion was and that box sat on shelves for a long time around here. I see Skaventide hasn't sold out where in its first weekend either as pretty much every other release does.
Yeah, I feel the same. Nothing about this new edition seems better, mostly just the same or changed for the sake of change. I'm probably going to stick with 3e or more likely just not play AoS unless friends bring it up first and stick to The Old World for now.
I finally finished my battle that I showed the first round of above! It was just sitting on the table for a few weeks. Here's what the lists were:
Tomb Kings - Royal Host
Settra (Incantation of Cursed Blades)
Nekaph
Tomb Prince (Light armour, Skeletal Steed, Charmed Shield)
20 Tomb Guard (Hand...
I think your referring to "Meeting Engagement" on page 294. This one is in page 308 and is called "Surprise Encounter". It's even weirder than Meeting Engagement. You only get to deploy 3 units in different sixths of the battlefield and 1 character can join one unit and the rest show up in a...
We're playing a Surprise Attack scenario where your units are scattered all over the board at the beginning. It's the first narrative scenario in the core book. It's not very balanced but let me get into this great flanking position with Settra on turn 1 and 2. I'm trying out Royal Host for the...
