The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
A nice bunch of classics there! Nice paint job on the Nazgul - the checked pattern has worked nicely on such a darkly painted mini. It's also nice to see several generations of skellies together :)
More awesome conversions! I love 'The Faceless' - everything from the conversions to the paintj ob has made these guys just about as different as they could look from the Steelheart's warband.
At home I’ve got Vargs still going - the details like eyes, teeth, claws and so on have been finished and I’ve started work on the skin.
At work I’ve got grave guard still being assembled and a rock thrower being painted (in pieces) for my O&G army.
Trying to refrain from doing more O&G...
@Theerteen Great work. A good one to start off the competition.
@Shadespyre Will this entry be something to accompany the rest of your army or a one-off?
@Unas the slayer Nice to see TK getting some attention.
Those wraiths are great - I love the cold palette that builds up to a concentration of warm colours at the centre of the minis where you're looking to draw viewers' attention. Excellent work as always - a nice vibrant unit of wraiths
Ok, Vargs are back on the table for this. I think the amount of time I'm taking with these already qualifies them for 'ancient' but I'll write a bit of fluff for them anyways. This competition is the shove I need to get these done - CN, you're awesome
After finishing the Varg wings over my Chinese New Year holiday I wanted to paint something different, so since I have a bunch of war machines in various stages of assembly I decided to work on the following:
WIP Pump Wagon 1:
The conversion previously posted, now all painted up and awaiting...
@Borgnine Cheers man, nice tips about the chaos warriors - I'll have to play around with those ideas when the time comes.
Really nice conversions once again - I'm having a hard time choosing a favourite as they're all brilliant in their own way. Love the idea of converting each according to...
@Shadespyre Nice! More classic orcs - great work mate. Also looking forward to what you submit for the Ancient Evil Category.
I've got the first pump wagon done and should have the second one done in a day or so - nice to see some war machines joining the Greenskins army! Crew will come a bit...
A quick question: would Vargheists count in this category? They’re not ‘ancient’ per se but I think they were vamps that got locked up & starved for a long time and turned into monstrous vamp beasts (if I remember their fluff correctly)...
@Borgnine Loads of stuff to drool over as usual!
The Shadespire Stormcast team is phenomenal - converted so well and so much that they're unrecognizable as Stormcast now, which is nice as you've turn the typical 'hero' team of Underworlds into something dark and menacing. Going by your...
@brr-icy @Shadespyre Thanks guys, I’ve since bought a plinth for her to make her more presentable. The missus loves it
Back to painting evil things now! :devil2:
@Shadespyre That mounted orc is cool, is he a character or part of a cavalry unit? Those orcs are shaping up nicely -...
Beautiful work, I’m envious that you get so much done xD
Regarding your indecisiveness with the bases, I had the same issue and so just did a bunch of test bases.
I had a pretty clear idea of something that contrasted nicely with my armies color schemes. For undead, I paint them blue so I went...
