Thanks for the time to go through the plog @Borgnine and for the kind words.
I think I will pin just the bottom connections of the spirits together. I am also at a loss on how to link Nagash to a snow theme and how to base him, but I'll just make stuff up as I go.
This model is just huge. I...
Then how to find out where the wire meets the other piece in the joint? I first drilled a hole in the first part for the wire, then I put some paint around it and pushed it against the second part of the joint to find out where the holes would match.
I hope this method saves me from the horror...
Decided to reinforce the joints of the spirits with some wiring. I hope my green stuff is still good to cover those gaps.
I really don't want to see this falling apart the first time I deploy it on the tabletop. Has anyone else had any experience in assembling Nagash? The joints slide together...
@Infernal Skull really amazing work with the Engine. As @Mad 'At said, it's just so clean work. Very well thought color palette, every part stands out as it's own without hindering others.
Usually I see this model painted so that it's hard to make sense where the spirits end and the engine...
Some head details after today's progress. This bugger certainly has some detail and to be frank, it's quite intimidating to try and figure out the color scheme as you have to paint most of the stuff in sprues before assembly.
"WHERE ARE MY DANCING LEGGINGS YOU MAGGOT?"
"Coming right up master, are you sure you are ready to..."
"DO NOT QUESTION ME SERVANT. I WILL DANCE AGAIN, MAKE IT HAPPEN!"
"Certainly my Lord, errr I mean The Supreme Lord..."
"SUPREME LORD OF WHAT, YOU USELESS MINION?"
"I... I dare not say it my...
Finished Grave Guard unit filler. Still need to practice a lot doing light sources and flames and stuff, but here's where I'm now, so to speak. I will make one more of these later on (which might be a lot later) for my Grave Guard. I think I've been through the bits already on an earlier post...
When you overcook your porridge and refer to the miscast table to see the results.
When you stop to collect twigs from the yard to put on bases when playing soccer with your son. (happened yesterday)
When you secretly roll scatter die to check if your significant other is in the 'mood' and...
Ahhh, I just love to see you still kicking with the best themed VC army there is! Magnificent work all around, especially the Terrrorgheist has a supreme idea and execution.
Really liking everything I see here! You are a very productive painter, how many armies are you playing currently?
Best wishes for your family, a child is always a blessing. He will be omnoming those minis in no time.
Some ghouls. I have 5 more that just need their bases to be finished. I decided to put these fellas on a bit more rocky surface. The stones are actually just small bits of clay, so nothing too fancy on that department. I want every unit to have something that ties them together and for he ghouls...
OK, here's where I'm at with my Warlord: primed, based and ready to get painted. I'm really happy with the pose and all the sweat and swearing when putting it together were really worth it.
Nice looking stuff here, I like what you've done with the movement trays. I'm trying to spread the love about painting with more water as opposed to excessive drybrushing as that's something that helped me a lot. Drybrushing has it's uses though and I really like the unified feeling your army has.
Pretty intimidating stuff you've got here. Nice work. Really nice conversions all the way, keep those bad boys coming!
Your drybrushing is really good, the only suggestion I could give is that you might want to try painting thinner layers with lots of water here and there and more...
Picking up with the hobby again, as people might have noticed. I've been working my ass off for the past year and a half and now I'm currently applying for a vacancy to end my cycle of temporary contracts. Hopefully I will be able to nail that spot. It would certainly help me getting a larger...
