6th! I have played from 5th to 8th, but the most loved for my hearth (and my brain, it feels more balanced) is 6th! I just love the alternative lists, crazy magic phase, OP cavalry and OP Fear mechanics (even when I suffer it). 6th is tactical, brutal and unforgiving.
