vargulfs are vampires and dont need to be within the generals 12 inch range. hero wraiths are deployed last, so deploy them in units lined up with the steam tanks. and charge out of the unit when the opportunity comes.

I'd also consider a wraith or two in the unit to accept challenges. Think that might work?
