Well there are a few ways to kill a slann and to minimize the damage from his spells.
ALWAYS bring a black coack to the table when facing a slann. Even if you just steal 1 power dice that's very good against him, the coach has been my primary defence against him since 8th edition, you will not...
A friend of mine runs his chosen with the banner that causes terror, so he can re-roll the fear and terror results in the eye of the gods chart plus the item that can add or substract 1 point from the result, the odds that he gets the 4+ ward save is very high. I have broken this unit a couple...
I love combat vamps, my main lord is a red fury, eternal hatred with sword of +2 str, crown of the damned and the light armor that gives -1 to hit to anyone atacking him, he is very hard to kill and do seroius damage.
Overall a good list, but in my oppinion I would change the coach for a varghulf and drop the corpe cart, you already have VDM which is better that the carts spell, and with the 125 points to spare buy 10 ghouls so you can deploy them as a horde and summon more in the magic phase so you can get...
In the special rules section of the BRB it states that if you have first strike AND the same or more initiative than your opponent you can re-roll failed hits, so basically it's an eternal hatred without the downside of being obligated to chase your opponent.
Poor bat swarms are the most overpriced unit we have, in 6th edition they were alive! and umbreakable but they costed 60 points and that was so much better than now, basically you are paying 35 points for 5 wounds with T2, 5 zombies cost 20 points, sure they can't hove 10" and they don't are at...
Hmm I don't have much experience against dwarfs but I also think combat heavy is the way to go, the only time I played against dwarfs I was using Mannfred with +6 to cast who mannaged to kill half his models with a sun with 30" range
But in a proper game I would go a scouting vamp...
Hmm, I've played against some similar lists and they are really hard to beat, those cheap marauders are insane, today my friend fielded 2 units of 50 with frenzy and GW and each unit cost like one of 30 skellies... so sad.
Anyways to beat this specific list I would go combat heavy, Str 5 is all...
Yeah, mathwise ghouls are better, they kill more and they are harder to kill (yes even with the 5+ AS and 6+ WS of skellies) the only exception is against oponent with WS of 4 or more AND Str of 6 or more, not to mention that if someone is pathetic enough to fail the fear test they will hit...
Thanks, I have played against lizards countless times with pretty much the same number of wins and loses hehe.
Another thing to consider if you are going to play magic heavy is lore of light, with spell #4 the slann needs to pass a Str test or can't cast spells, and with Str 3 he won't cast...
Well there are some things to remember when you face a Slann, the first thing is that he is now an infantry model so he can get a look out sir when you cast purple sun so that's not the best technique for killing him, but now you can cut the head of the frog with a single killing blow, a wight...
