The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Agree. The summoning changes and look out, sir! will help make Death great again... but I am very dubious indeed about that magic expansion. It smacks too much of Storm of Magic for my liking *shudder*
@Farmer7574 Thanks very much mate, much appreciated!
Here's some WIP shots of my Abhorrant Ghoul King, His Majesty King Bloodgullet. I think I'm calling the miniature itself done (might apply some blood to his fangs but apart from that he's table ready) so I mainly need to sort out the base. I...
I'd say so! Fenris Grey, Astronomican Grey, Dheneb Stone, Calthan Brown and Iyanden Darksun have all been used for my Undead. To be fair, I could probably use Tallarn Flesh, as well (I used Bugman's Glow for the Varghulf wings basecoat).
I'm late to look at these and admire, but the BSB is amazing - the freehand on cloak and banner in particular are incredible! Ioana is brilliant - I love the red and the metal together and even more, the subtle flesh tone which really ties her together and helps to make her look like exactly...
I'm also a big fan of that assassin! The killer's smile (as well as the nice sculpt) is what really makes that model for me. Great work!
A really characterful army...I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it painted.
Thanks very much Borgnine :)
In hindsight, I think the Varghulf needs a few highlights to brighten him up a bit...he is a hero, after all, and so rates some extra effort. My ghouls (much as I love them) are just cheerful little fodder cannibals, so they don't get highlights ;)
My intention is...
Love the Shaman - lovely clean work and a great result! I'm not a greenskin fan, but with stuff like this, maybe I could be ;)
Really like the filler too...very imaginative! I have just used tombstones in the past but clearly need to lift my game! :)
Interesting chat about WoW. I'm the same...
Wow, this is absolutely amazing work!!
The Knights look awesome, but the Zombies absolutely blew me away. The modelling is brilliant, but the paintjob really sets them apart for me. The eyes look vacant and wonderfully zombie-like! The gore and the skin tones are fantastic and really tie the...
Wow, great hauls - congratulations and happy painting all of those!!
Arkhan looks fantastic. I love the nice, clean purples and the bone effects in particular. The staff headpiece looks a little dark to me, but perhaps that's a trick of the light in the photo. A fantastic model, he'll be sure...
These are looking great! I love the cool, ghostly scheme you've used on the Spirit Host, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how your Hexwraith turns out. It looks different from many others, which makes it extra interesting! Looking forward to further updates.
Thanks Adam_Barrow and Farmer7574!! I've started a PLOG here with both the Ghouls and the Varghulf. The Ghoul King will be next, followed by a Zombie Dragon I have waiting for paint...
Next is my Marquis Gruelsop, who is visible as bare metal behind the ghouls. He towers over them, of course, and has had some success eating chunks out of units in 8th, so looking forward to seeing him in action painted in AoS.
I'll need to knock up a bit of a lightbox when I have more time, to...
Perhaps fittingly, the first unit painted was 20 Crypt Ghouls, a solid (if fragile) unit that I always loved in 8th. These were half finished from years back, so it was a matter of building on a basecoat and finishing them off.
Howdy all!
I'll start with a quick introduction - I joined CN a few years back, but I'm military, so my work frequently gets in the way of my hobby (and when it doesn't, my family life does!)
Originally a LOTR SBG and then 40K player, WHFB was the last GW mainstream game that I got into. That...
Not sure if this is where to post this, but my answer is finally (after years flitting between game systems and projects) finishing painting my first VC unit. Good feeling! Varghulf is next on the list...
Apologies for the late-night-smartphone photo quality :\
I'm just starting a Flesh Eater Courts army myself, and this plog is really inspiring stuff!! It all looks good but that Terrorgheist is absolutely mind blowing! Such clean, crisp work and some outstanding colour choices! Thanks for sharing.
Really enjoying this! Regardless of the standard, a painted miniature always trumps bare plastic/resin/metal in my book!
I really like the Varghulf, the bat swarms and the Vampire Knights...they look fantastic!
