*I have room in my 25% heroes to mount the necromancer on the CC, so I will try it with him on and off.

Lord will usually stick with Ghouls, Vamp with skellies (oubviously), Necromancer with one of the above (or on CC) supporting. BSB in the GG.

Ghouls with lord will try to stay on one flank of the main line, so that I can cover BK with 12" marchy-goodness while they flank. Other vamp will form other side of the line with GG close by.

What do you all think?

Looks pretty decent to me. What armies will you be facing with this list? If you're going up against opponents with any serious artillery you might come to lament the small size of your Ghoul and Grave Guard units.

Also, be prepared to reshape your carefully laid out plans when your deployment is at the mercy of the randomly generated scenarios. I've come to especially dislike that whole "Dawn Attack" thing..

I think that the smallish units are a liability in 8th. They just won't hold up to anything in combat any more. Large units are seeming to me to be the way to go. My experience so far has been that even my 20ish strong units of ghouls are not lasting more than two rounds of combat.

I think that we can be the exception to that liability, though because of our ability to re-raise our dead. While I agree that it is nice to have a nice, large unit, I wouldn't agree that it needs to be horded and higher than 20 models. I just think it needs to be in the right place at the right time. That, of course, is up to the player to work his list. xD

But I would agree that it needs a center stone it can base itself around.

I would also ask yourself how well your black knights have served you, they don't do much for me in 8th lately, especially larger units.

I don't agree with you Crazeh

As it is indicated in our army book (p. 91), the BSB won't be given any magic item IF he has a magic standard. In the case he is only the BSB, without having a magical banner, he has the right to buy his magic weapon.

Correct me if I am wrong (:

You are absolutly correct.

Oops, I stand corrected. How novice of me, that's what I get for skim-reading it.

I bow to your superior attention to detail, sirs.
