2250 Balanced list.

Following the suggestions of you lot, I have written a mixed list, closer to the list's I used last ed.

I assume the vampire with Dread Knight is going into one of the Black Knight units, I would recommend the one with the Banner of Strigois, you should drop one of the knights in this unit so you are paying just for 9 (unot total 10 with vamp)
As for the other Black Knight unit which I assume is protecting the other flank I would recommend giving them the Banner of Hellish Vigour, keeps them marching away form the vamps, faster response that doesn't rely on you casting vanhels to keep them moving fast.

Other than that looks pretty good though I would worry a little about your Lord against tooled up characters, even with you striking first he's not that combat orientated and even with the Carstein Ring you don't really want to risk it. Maybe with forbidden Lore select Lore of Shadow as the Steed of Shadows can carry your Lord way out of combat. Or you can turn your Lord into a one man killing machine with Bears Anger (7 Attacks at S7:grin

Why not use a Wight King for your battle standard bearer?- by loosing a unit of ghouls and a black knight you can have a fully tooled up king who is dead hard

This will give you 2 real hammer units with characters although you will be losing a ghoul block

The key to a strong army IMO is flexibility: the lord's access to almost any lore gives scope to tailor to my opp's in tournaments (ie lore of fire v's WE, beasts for dragon lead lists etc), the mounted BSB & lycan support thrall (its still a thrall damnit!) allow me to beef up my hanner BK units if needed or add punch to my ranked units. I think taking out a BK from a unit which won't always have a character in it is a bad move; I am paying 112 points for that rank and I want it to be permanent.
