Hello everyone,
I've been eyeing a second army(err... third I guess actually) and I've always wanted a VC army. So I thought I'd try to slowly build them up while working on a few other projects till their done then head straight into the Undead.
I've been tinkering with lists, over and over and over and etc etc. I seem to be alright with the bulk of the army, but I'm lost as what to do with characters, which is problem obviously. So here's what I've got.
It should be noted, I'm not building a tournament list or anything. I'd like a list I could win games with of course, but I'd rather build fluff filled lists full of models I actually want to paint, hence the lack of ghouls( I have zero love for those models and I play at a GW store, so no models from other companies)
Lord
Vampire -455
Extra Magic Level
Master of Black Arts
Forbidden Lore
Lord of the Dead
Helm of Command
Crown of the Damned
Book Of Arkhan
Heroes
Vampire Thrall - 185
Dark Acolyte
Amour of Fortune
Sword of Might
Necromancer - 95
Van Hels
Sceptre de Noirot
Raise Dead(extra spell)
Core
25 Skeleton Warriors - 250
Command
War Banner
25 Skeleton Warriors - 240
Command
Banner of Endless Nightmare
18 Skeleton Warriors - 169
Command
Special
30 Grave Guard - 465
Great weapons
Barrows
5 Black Knights - 120
Rare
Varghulf - 175
6 Blood Knights - 340
Musician
2500 points "dead" on
I guess I don't really need to tell the VC experts here the planned tactics lol.
But quickly, the skeles will flank the Guard(who will be center), the small unit of Skeles will be a bunker for the Lord and Necro.
The rest of the army will work and protect the flanks/hunt war machines/flank charge.
I've got 4 models/Units with the "Vampire" rule so nothing should be left standing in the cold trying to march but failing in epic proportions.
The necro is there for an extra VHDM and the fun of possibly raising a shed load of Zombies, again for the fun of it.
I was also thinking Death on the Lord some good hex spells and maybe try to snipe some characters as the enemy advances maybe adding more dice to my pool
Any thoughts on the characters or the army in general?
Thanks in advance
