baiscally, he goes in the Grave Guard, casting from horseback. he will probably take Heavens or Metal, depending on the enemy

in the smaller ghoul unit, summoning them up to big, looking after one flank of the grave guard

von Strangleshitz goes in here. this unit holds the centre of the field and advances with the ghouls flanking them to protect the flanks.

You dont happen to have more ghouls do you? You could swap those zombies for 10 ghouls. Should be about the same ammount of points. Then, with so many ghouls, I´d really try to get the ghoulkin in there. Pretty cool with so many forbidden lores in there, although im not sure how effective it will be on level 1 casters.

no, all i have at the moment is 10 ghouls, 3 wraiths (possibly a banshee if i can get away with using galadriel) and 10 dire wolves. this is just planning currently, although i do have 20 empire men that can be zombies, with my high elves who look to be on dope as summonable extras. i dont really want to take ghoul kin as it would leave the grave guard stranded. i could change it for Dread Knight and add in another grave guard, taking me to 2001 pts, or another ghoul, to 1997

I would recomend that you give your lord a magic lvl, making him a lvl 4 magician. It will also give you an extra dispel dice. You could do this by removing one wraith.

it wouldnt give me an extra dispell dice, but an extra power level would be useful. ok, out with a wraith, in with magic.
