So even though I've been painting quite a lot lately it's mostly been for board games that I've been playing, but the undead keep beckoning so I thought it was time for a new project.

I wanted to do something different though than the usual unit painting, so I came up with this small "diorama".

I'm still quite inexperienced with the more advanced painting techniques, so I'm planning to use some tutorials to aid me in my struggle.
I looked up some old White Dwarfs and found a handy tutorial of how they did the cloak of the Corpsemaster which would be perfect for the Wraith, but then I saw the Spectral Steeds tutorial and I've never tried that before.. so I'm tempted to try the latter and make the Wraith really stand out that way.

What do you peeps think?

Oh, and any advice on what (GW) paints to use for zombie flesh & highlights is much appreciated as well!

It's a cool! Nice job man! Quick suggestion, if you put it on a proper sized square base it could be used as a unit filler for zombies or skeletons too.

Nice idea! I also agree with najo on the base. As for zombie flesh, myself would use a combination of greys, browns and greens. Maybe adding some washes of, well, any color. Purple, blue, green, earth (browns) and reds will help achieve a difference between each model.

Thanks for the tips, guys!
It would indeed be more practical to put the wraith on a separate base, but I really want to make one single thing out of it. I'll keep it in mind for any future projects though. =)

Stage one complete btw.

Simply followed the tutorial. Reasonably happy with the result.. although it's never as nice as they show on the pictures. XD

Get out of here, I just looked at your BSB WIP thread, that stuff looks amazing. XD
Real impressed with your bases too.

'Aight, stage 2 nearly complete.
I'm just not sure what to do with the crow.. should I make it a ghostly one, with the colour scheme of the new spirit host (greenish) or should I simply go for a proper one? What do you guys think?
