:konrad: zombies taste better anyways,

Thanks danceman I have the movie along with the evil dead 1 and 2. great inspiration for undead there is in that show.

I caught Evil Dead: The Musical in NYC. I thought it was pretty funny. I agree that the movies are great for getting into the painting / modelling mood.

I got a nice brush, and a heap of washes, so will have to show you how we paint down under

bring it on, buddy boy! My elves will whoop yours any time. XD

No...I'm not blood thirsty at all. :suck:

Err....you didn't see that.

I'm confused, who usually posts, Mr Santawraith or Missus Santawraith?

yeah I don't understand the wargames sneering either, you get it a lot with videogamers, and as my fella likes to rant "At least we go out and socialise with other human beings, they're just sat in a darkend bedroom fiddling with their joystick" :D

Sadly this is human nature, people are in general very narrow minded and do not like what they consider to be out of the "norm", it really doesn't matter how the categorize the person, a nerd, a chav, a hippie or whatever. You certainly get this within games workshop gamers. I've had a remark made to about me because I used to take more than one armylist to games night, I actually used to take 3/4 different khorne armies, apparently I was a powergamer? No one actually bothered to find out why, I actually different lists which ranged in power. If I was going to play someone who had played like 2 games of warhammer It's hardly going to be fun for him to play a all mounted Khorne army so i would whip out my infantry list with a lot more marauders, If someone was abit of a cheeseball I might whip out the all mounted army. I recall once at a gaming club in london against a TK player I saw he had loads of chariots, I actually took my dragon ogres off and swap them for Minotaurs because I knew having a unit that would go round and pop everyone of his units would be dull for us both yet I was dubbed again with the same brush.

Then you have from a more external point of view, it happens, if I'm honest after meeting some of the people who play wargames I'm not that surprised that people look at other people with the same hobby with a negative light. Seriously just walk into a GW on "vets" night and you will quickly understand why people form the opinion that people who play with toy soldiers are weird.

Certainly not all of us are, I had a guy from Dakka Dakka come round my house last week, he is one of the few people who has actually accepted food from me and we actually ad a laugh about all the odd balls you meet playing warhammer.

they're just sat in a darkend bedroom fiddling with their joystick" :D

I had to quote this separately as it made me giggle, I have a perverted mind however...

Not all of them. I know people who are gamers but are also hugely sporty, etc. =\

I agree. That was good, Annie. And it seems many people on this site do, Logan

My wife likes to throw reality at me when I get carried away - she calls my Warhammer models my "little painted people" and my video game avatars my "little pixel people". I don't mind but I have some friends that get grumpy when she says it. I think it's very healthy to engage in a hobby, and expressing your creativity (painting and writing) or excercising your powers of logic (gaming) is a big bonus. It's just best to remember that it is a hobby and there's a whole lot more to life that could, and should, be experienced.

@Santawraith: Speaking of experiencing things.... we sat in the "Splatter Section" of Evil Dead: The Musical. Great fun. I'll have to dig around for the picture of the aftermath.

Well, Annie, when we were sharing an account, I'd prefix my posts with "the wife says..." or something along those lines. Now the hubby gets his santawraith account all to himself...and I am simple, "The Wife."

:D

I thought you were mine...

Lol, its funny, they are probably sitting in different rooms talking to each other on Carpe Noctem. Hehe, I wanna wife
@Santa, try using a ball-gag. At least now we've found some way to incorporate Warhammer. xD

Ah I am so proud of all your perverted minds.

@The Wife - your posts do not count in certain sections such as The Mortals Realm and New Bloods etc. Hence your post count does not increase, it's the same for everyone.

That ball gag we had was a joke. It actually let me breathe.
That other gag, now...Mmmmm.

Who's got a perverted mind?? It's cetainly not me... :perv:
