I've noticed that Vlad and Isabella's 'love' story is suspiciously similar to Twilight...

Isabella, beautiful, immoral, selfish and vain human woman, pining away in a boring land, with a tyrant of a father. Finally, along comes the centuries old, devastatingly handsome, witty and erudite vampire, Vlad von Carstein. They fall madly in love, Vlad long resisting Isabella’s desire to gift her the Blood Kiss, only relenting on her death bed. The two then proceed to unite her homeland under his just, but brutal, rule.

And, just like Twilight, the two then proceed to raise an undead horde, animated by dark magic, whereupon they march on the corrupt human empire, putting towns and cities to the sword, each fallen warrior only swelling the size of Vlad’s host. Until eventually they arrive at the capital, and after breaching the gates Vlad is pulled from the walls by the Grand Pope, to their deaths. Upon learning of her beloved’s death, Isabella hurls herself from the walls to her death (for realz, yo).

See? Just like Twlight. At least how I imagine Twilight goes anyway.

Id love to be able to comment... But I have neither seen, read or allowed anyone to talk to me about anything vaguely related to twilight since the first 2 sentences it was described to me...

"Its about a Love triangle between a vampire a werewolf and a human"
"Vampires glow in daylight too"

I do believe that human woman is a silly cow... beth, belle or whatever her name is... agonising over a vampire or a werewold as a love interest.... she SHOULD be absolutley bricking it instead!

The writer/producer/director should be choked to death with their own flayed skin! :devil2:

Vlad and Isabela's love story is hardly original to be quite honest. The forbidden fruit archetype, among others, is almost as old as written literature.

P.S. I hate Twilight.

Also they had very similar rules in the older army book and their story has been ongoing for years.
Pre Dating Twilight by over a decade.

Personally, I'm team guy-who-almost-hit-Bella-with-his-truck (I'm told it exists), but from what I've heard... you haven't QUITE got the storyline right. Plus, as people have said, Vlad and Isabella were first, so Stephanie Meyer would be the one plagiarising.

In this instance, I would fully support GW if they sue, I think we should start a movement xd Maybe a dream but maybe we can get Twilight banished forever....*sigh*

Yeh but then we will have picket lines of screaming 12 year old girls in front of the store and I may need to paint empire for a while out of shame to distance myself from them.
A club will only get you through the crowd, it can't drown out the sound of them

Vampires burn in the sun, they don't sparkle. Twilight is the worst thing to happen to Vampire literature. :/

I agree. SO agree... Freaking Twilight, ruining all vampire lore everywhere.

And yes, GW came first: Vlad's and Isabelle's story was told waaay back in the 2nd book with the title of Armies: Vampire Counts.

Whats strange is it Seems Vlad can only take over kingdoms by knocking boots with the lady in charge.

You say that as if he's the first ruler to get a kingdom that way. :D

Thats because you have to have the bloodline to rule.
He is not the family so he has to marry in.

Sure he could turn up with an army of undead but thats not exactly going to let him gather his strength is it?
