I prefer Abaddon, but Loken aint to shabby either...

So did I and at games day as well but they have made a few changes since.

I personally like the model, just not the fact they have painted him in the wrong colours, he should be in his Lunar Wolves colours at the point of that fight.

They could have poured some paint over themselves O_O Or get some brushes and just do a quick/sloppy paint job x)

Sanai's got it here. They were kinda busy, you know with the Virus Bombing and Angron dropping down... they deployed as Sons of Horus, then halfway the treachery became known. I agree the armour has been painted a little too "evil" though, somehow.


Also, in the WD they showed the Recon marine mockup AND a Mechanicum Thallax (I believe that's how it's spelt).

It it just me that thinks it looks like a new Tau battlesuit variant as opposed to an Imperial thing.

Even if they did somehow have spare paint and sprayguns in their deployment kit (for the purposes of touching up their armour in battle?) it would have been in sons of horus colours- they arent going to be sent down with white paint just in case they decide to be luna wolves again!

Besides, If I was in command I would prefer that the drop space taken up by armour paint kits be used for something important- like more ammo.

My problem with lokens armor is it looks to new too nice. He just had a fight with kharne and other battles it should be scarred and dirty.

You could always paint it up differently. I think the scheme is a little too pristine and evil-looking, more of the green rather than blacks, reds, and golds. And some dirt to show a stubborn loyalist, thrown down but not dead yet. I agree that right now he could just as easily represent an arch-traitor as much as Loken.

which in it's own sense is kinda cool having that model also represent other hero's or captains of the sons of horus.

Though if doing the techamancy battles he would look right, as the war there was fought in the new colors.

Holy crap...Loken is awesome. I will probably buy just loken off of ebay. He is awesome. Did I mention that I love the Loken model? Cause he is awesome.

Abaddons not to shabby either, though why don't they just hire the eavy metal team to paint the models for them?
